A/N: Do not be deterred, fellow author!anons! This deserves multiple fills!

Kid Flash stared, wide eyed, at the small child that Robin was bouncing happily on his hip. “Um,” he began quite eloquently, “You have a kid there, Rob.”

The Boy Wonder nodded, smiling behind his mask. The ‘kid’ himself frowned, little fists clutched in the black-and-yellow cape. “It’s just until Batman makes a room for him at the Cave. He was kinda… a surprise.”

“A surprise.” Artemis stated, clearly dubious. “A kid was a surprise.”

The little boy adjusted his grip around Robin’s neck, blue eyes narrowing at the doubtful tone. Robin glanced down at him, still smiling nonchalantly. “Yeah. I mean, Batman had suspicions about where he was, but we had to actually go to Asia to find him.”

“You went to Asia to find a kid? With Batman?”

Robin rolled his eyes, kicking Kid Flash to one side of the couch and dropping down onto it. The child adjusted seamlessly, moving onto Robin’s lap and leaning back against the older boy’s chest. “C’mon guys, it’s not that big a deal. Batman’s taken in a bunch of kids before.”

Wally’s eyebrows shoot upward. “This seems a little different, bro.”

All he got in response was a laugh from his best friend and a deepening scowl from the little boy. The child didn’t seem to like him, for some reason. That was not cool, with the way he was hanging all over Robin like he was afraid the Gothamite would leave him.

Wally was supposed to be good with kids, or, at least, better than the son of Mr. Stoic McIntimidate aka Batman.

Megan floated around the corner, eyes bright and curious. “Is Robin back? I thought I heard the Zeta-” Then she caught sight of the little boy in the Boy Wonder’s arms. Her eyes widened and she let out a little squeal, zooming over, her skirt flaring. “You have a child! He’s adorable! Where did you get him?”

While the boy frowned at the excited girl before him, Wally said, “From Asia. Am I the only one that thinks this is weird?”

Megan just laughed, wiggling her fingers a few inches in front of the boy. His scowl deepened and he batted her hand away. She blinked, looking a little surprised and hurt.

Robin frowned down at him, raising one finger reprimandingly. “Dami. No. She’s a friend.”

Artemis stirred from where she had been lounging on an opposite chair, observing in the action. “His name’s Dami?”

“Short for Damian.” Robin beamed. “I’m already his favorite brother.”

Damian’s frown grew. “Not brothers, G-”

The Boy Wonder cut across him, not very keen on having his identity exposed via small child. “Robin, Dami, Robin. Remember? We discussed this?”

The boy huffed. “But they know.”

Robin shot glances around the room. Kid Flash he understood, and Megan with her telepathy, but Artemis?

The blonde grimaced. “I’d recognize your voice anywhere, and you’re not exactly discreet at school.”

The fact that she had insulted his acting ability should not have been the first thing to register.

Damian looked smug. “See?”

Megan seemed to recover from her hurt feelings quickly. She grinned again, touching down on the ground and making eye contact with her youngest teammate. “He’s so smart! How old is he?”

Robin tucked his concerns away, making a mental note to discuss them with Batman later. “About six. We’ve been looking for him since he was four.”

Kid Flash threw his hands up into the air. “Could you please explain why Batman thought it was a good idea to kidnap a six year old?”
“Not kidnapping.” Robin snapped. “Surprise adoption.”

The redhead raised an eyebrow. “… Right.”

“Anyway, he was with the League of Shadows! We couldn’t just leave him there.”

Artemis barked a laugh. “You stole a kid from the League of Shadows?”

“We did not steal him!” Robin huffs. “We just… ‘bandoned him.”

At the blank looks he received, he sighed and elaborated, “Opposite of abandon? Took him in?”

Kaldur and Superboy walked in at that moment, cutting off the developing scoffs from Kid Flash and Artemis alike. Kaldur blinked down at the boy on Robin’s lap. Carefully, he asked, “I thought Batman did not let you bring your siblings into the mountain?”

Robin’s grin returned. “That’s only Jay and Tim. And Cass. And, alright, probably Steph, too. So… I guess you’re right.”

Damian stared up at Superboy, who stared back just as intently. Wally laughed, zipping to his feet and putting an arm around the larger teen’s shoulder. “You haven’t actually met a kid yet, right Supey? This is Rob’s newest kidnapped brother.”

Robin said “Not kidnapped!” exactly as Damian said “Not brothers!” They exchanged glances, Robin grinning widely and Damian’s scowl still firmly in place.

Repressing a laugh, the Boy Wonder stood and asked, “Wanna hold him, Supes?”

Damian made a noise of betrayal, but let himself be passed into the other teen’s arms. The clone still stared down at him, eyes wide and a little wondering. He handled the child carefully, as if afraid he would break.

Damian sighed and rolled his eyes, bodily climbing up the technically-younger one’s arms and assuming his previous position with his arms locked around Superboy’s neck. He glowered down at them all, as if daring them to say something.

Robin grinned. “He likes you.”

Superboy smiled, carefully adjusting his arms and hefting Damian a little higher. “Is he allowed to see the base?”

Damian’s attention snapped to Robin, the barest hint of a question in his eyes. Not that he’d ever admit it. Ever.

The Boy Wonder considered, his grin spreading and threatening to split his face. “… If you don’t tell Jay or Tim. They’d be so jealous.”

Superboy turned, glancing once over his shoulder for approval. Robin nodded him on, dismissing him with the wave of a hand. Megan hurried after him, tentatively raising her hand and touching one of Damian’s tiny hands. He still glared down at her, but didn’t bat her away again.

As Artemis and Kaldur filed out, Wally put a hand on his best friend’s shoulder. “You gotta tell me; why did Batman kidnap- alright, alright! ‘bandon’ this kid from the League of Shadows? Isn’t that more trouble than it’s worth?”

Grimacing, Robin muttered, “He’s kinda… Batman’s son. Like, biological.”

“Dude!” Kid Flash exclaimed. “Like, son son?”

“Yeah.”

There was a long pause. Eventually, Wally muttered, “Jay’s gonna hate this, isn’t he?”

Robin grinned. “Totally.”

They followed the team out into the hallway, grinning and smirking at each other. Jason was gonna be so jealous that Damian had gotten the grand tour before he did.

Robin couldn’t wait to introduce them.

"The Boy Wonder cut across him, not very keen on having his identity exposed via small child."

Nice.

I love cute baby Dami. It doesn't matter that everyone else on the team knows who Rob is, Wally's the one who was told them. Seriously, Wally is so spoiled with the batsecrets. That's why he's the one who asks why Dami of all the little brats in the world and gets the real answer.

Dick, if you want to keep your ID secret, maybe you shouldnt have told all ur friends the names of your siblings because that's a lot of info there and ur a hacker who should know how these thinks work silly. lol.
