Green Lantern gaped, quickly schooling his features before staring at Martin Manhunter and projecting his thoughts as best he could. 'Really? Did I just see Batman make a play-date for his kid?'
'It is what it is.' The thoughts were, if they could be described, amused. 'What do you believe the Young Justice team was born from? Robin does occasionally spend his nights there.'
"And I thought I'd seen everything." Green Lantern noticed a second too late that he had spoken this aloud.
"Seen what?" Batman growled with a pointed look in his direction. Green Lanterns voice wavered slightly,
"N-nothing. Nothing at all."
Aquaman stood from his chair, "Then this meeting is concluded?"
"Yes," Batman agreed, also moving to stand. "I need to get back to Gotham." He glanced at the camera and nodded, "I have an appointment tonight at Robin's school."
"What for? He get into trouble?" Green Arrow asked, reaching for his quiver full of arrows.
"No, he won another award." The Flash frowned,
"Which one? There are only a few being given out this early in the year. Wally got one too, at his science fair this year." Batman glared at him with all the force of his daunting disapproval, and the Flash frowned.
"Yeah, yeah. Secret school in Gotham attended by Secret student with Secret name with Secret dad." He wriggled his fingers to add effect. "One of these days, Bats, we're going to find out who you are and all the pieces will fall into place."
"I admit, you have us at a disadvantage," Aquaman interjected. "We speak fully about ourselves, and yet with your distance, you leave us to fill in the blanks with the fantastical."
Black Canary snapped to get their attention, "We agreed to drop this, remember? The price of his participation? Anyway, I've got places to go too." She knocked an elbow into Green Arrow's gut before he could finish opening his mouth to join in the conversation. He let out a soft groan of pain. "And I'm sure you all do too." The others nodded, all coming to a stand.
"Then this meeting is done." Batman said, his cape snapping behind him as he turned on his heel and exited the room. Aquaman followed quickly.
"Club Mentor is closed." Green Arrow said, curling an arm around Black Canary's shoulders. "Let's get out of here, Di." The couple walked out together, talking quietly to each other.
The Flash sighed in relief, "I'm heading to bed. Dinner will have to wait until morning." Martian Manhunter clasped his shoulder.
"I wish you a quick recovery."
"Thanks John."
"Hope your girl doesn't mind you dropping on her," Green Lantern commented, "But she must to be used to it."
"She is. She's wonderful." He gave both of them a smile, and was gone.
"So am I ever going to be used to one of these things?" Green Lantern indicated the dormant holo-display. "Robin's enough of thing to think about, but a whole team of kids?"
"They have been doing well so far. I believe great things are in their future." Martin Manhunter inclined his head and also walked out, calmly.
"I guess," Green Lantern muttered, "though this entire thing's way more crazy than Bats described. Who would have thought he'd be the one to organize the JLA Proud Parent Association." He shook his head, heading towards the door. "Getting stranded in an alternate dimension is easier to deal with than this thing."
He, a little too late, cursed himself for jinxing his luck like that.

You know Bats could've totally not replied at all when asked if Robin was in trouble. But he went and flung his kid's award nonchalantly in the other's faces. xD
He's such a proud Papa Bats under that cowl.
