"I think we're fine, Batman," Black Canary answered, "I really want to point out some things about Wonder Boy." There was a pause and Green Lantern raised a lazy hand.
"Wonder Boy?" Green Lantern asked, "It makes sense, but why?"
"She's thinking about teaching him about what she can about the strength and flight aspect of the power set.Someone needs to." Black Canary's answer ended in a growl. "What I have planned for their training lessons can only help so much. And Batman," she singled him out with a wave of her hand, "is too high in demand with Robin and everything else to focus on training him with the level of attention he needs."
Batman nodded in agreement, "Wonder Woman is thinking about approaching him soon, after he's had a bit of time to figure out how to handle himself on and off the field. Any bad habits he develops will be worked out when she starts."
"That's a good idea," the Flash offered, "I feel like she's been getting kind of jealous about the other heroes having protégés thing."
"Then why's she not--"
"She's on a League mission," Batman interrupted Green Lantern before he could finish. "She will be attending all future meetings."
Black Canary snorted, "And it will serve Blunder Man everything he's got coming to him if he finally gets his head out his behind and tries to play happy family." She and Batman shared a conspiratorial look that didn't bode well for the man in question, and no one bothered to get them to elaborate.
"So Wonder Woman's going to take the kid. Anything else?" The Flash asked, now seated more composedly, probably on his second wind.
Black Canary shook her head, "He's progressing normally, considering who we have setting his standards. But I can't do anything special until Diana decides to join in. That said, Red Tornado's been setting them strategy exercises when I'm not around. With whatever those Genomes were pumping through his head, he's got things down conceptually." She frowned, and continued, "It's his emotions that are doing him in. He gets angry, then things just go to hell with his logic. Until he's spent a bit more time around people, I don't think we can do much about that. It's only actual experience that'll help him."
Batman nodded, "As expected. Anyone else have anything to add? This is the last portion of the meeting that requires all of us to attend. The less time we spend in here, the less chance the boy scout gets suspicious."
"Yeah," the Flash raised his hand, "what do you say to my kid and yours teaming up this weekend?"
'Teaming up?' Green Lantern mouthed to Martian Manhunter, who shook his head,
'Just listen. It will be explained soon.'
"Team up for what? I don't condone Robin messing around while in costume." Flash waved his hands in denial, shaking his head.
"No, I mean, they can hang out with me to deal with my villain of the week. It's been low key for a while, so I don't expect it to be too difficult. And I'm not going to turn down any reason to take it easy, after this horrible week." Batman glared at him, likely tallying the pros and cons, before nodding minutely. "I suppose it would be a good training exercise with another set of rogues. And it will help with the coordination with Kid Flash. It has diminished in the past few weeks, despite being projected to reach at favorable levels at the start of this team." There was another beep that was duly ignored.
