Bruce narrowed his eyes and Wally squirmed, glancing to Robin. The teen wasn’t looking at him however, his eyes glued to his shoes. Was he- was he blushing?
“I just wanted to see Dick happy… you know?”
That did something because Bruce’s frown softened somewhat. It was still there (when wasn’t it?) but it wasn’t as harsh. Almost contemplative. “Yes,” Bruce mused, “I know.” He looked to Dick then, “When did you reveal you identity to Kid Flash?”
Robin blinked as if he had been in his own little world, turning to look at his mentor. “I long time ago… I just… You told me I could if I absolutely trusted that person with my life. Well… I trust Wally with it.” The red head couldn’t help but grin at that.
“What about my life? Or Alfred’s?” Bruce challenged, that military tone strengthening in his voice. Shit. “Will you trust him with those?”
Dick didn’t even hesitate. “Well… yeah. I mean, obviously. Why wouldn’t I? It’s Wally, he’s like the most trustworthy guy around. Besides you’ve told Barry, Clark, Diana-“
“I get it.” Bruce sighed, “But I’m also not thirteen.”
“Or Boy Wonder.” Dick chimed and Wally was impressed. Was that attitude he was giving Batman? “You trained me well, ya’ know. I know a good person from a bad one.” Dick sent Wally a quick small then and the speedster couldn’t help but return it.
Batman was silent for a while before sighing, “Fine. But I suggest you inform me when someone knows of your identity next time.”
Robin nodded eagerly, “Will do.”
“Well I… I need to get the kid back home.” Barry spoke up. He was being oddly silent, Wally noted. Was he… was he ashamed or angry at Wally? The red head sure hoped not. “His parents will get worried.”
Bruce nodded, “Alright. We’ll have this conversation later on.” KF didn’t miss the look he received from the Dark Knight before he started off down the hallway, obviously waiting for Dick to follow. The Boy Wonder sent Wally an odd look from reluctantly following his adoptive father.
Wally knew why almost instantly.
But Batman would- ah screw it.
Grinning, Wally used his speed to steal a kiss from his best friend one last time before joining his uncle again. Dick stood there, frozen for a second and the red head wondered if he went too fast but then Robin smiled, touched his lips, and followed after Batman.
“Come on, Kid.” Nodding, Wally followed his Uncle out of Wayne Manor.

Just as the younger speedster opened his mouth to apologize Barry spoke, “You should have told me.”
Wally blinked, “…What?”
“About your feelings for Robin.” Flash stated simply, his eyes still staring ahead of them. “I would have… Did you think I wouldn’t have accepted it, Kid?” There eyes met finally and Wally didn’t miss the hurt in them. Aw damn.
“N-no!” Wally exclaimed, throwing his hands up and waving them back and forth to prove his point. “Not at all! I just- I dunno… I never got around to it. I thought about telling you a few times but I think we got distracted with a bad guy or something. I knew you wouldn’t care-“
“-nor would Iris, or your mom and dad.”
“I… I know…” Silence passed by them, a cars horn sounding in the distance. “You… you want me to tell them, huh?”
“Yeah, I do. They should hear it from their son, not his uncle.”
Wally sighed but nodded regardless, “Okay.”
“Good boy.”
There was silence again as Wally stared down at his feet, making sure he didn’t step on a crack. Not out of superstition of course. He was just doing it to entertain himself.
Then, suddenly, Uncle Barry’s arm was around Wally’s shoulder and the red head jumped, eyes darting to his uncle’s face. To his immense pleasure the man was smiling. “Though, seriously, the dance? Very romantic, I am so proud of you.” Barry laughed, tugging his nephew close. “You must have got my genes, kid. I’m the best when it comes to that romantic stuff-“
“Aunt Iris said everything you do is really corny.” Wally mused, “And we aren’t blood-“
“Details, Kid!” Flash said, waving his hand in front of him. “Besides, it’s the corny stuff that gets the chicks- and guys too I guess. They love it, let me tell you. And Robin did to.”
“R-really?” Wally stared at Barry, “You think?”
“Oh definitely. Did you not see his face? I’ve never seen the Boy Wonder blush, Walls. I had to do everything not to keep in my pride. Bats would have killed me though and I can’t leave Iris a widow she’d find a way to bring me back just to kill me again.” They both laughed this time.
“You’d probably talk her out of it. Well… beg.”
“Ouch, Kid, ouch.”
Wally grinned at his uncle when the man elbowed him playfully, KF returning it.
They talked a bit longer and then took off home in a race. Uncle Barry won, of course, but treated Wally to ice cream anyway. After that he saw that Wally got home safe (as always) before wishing him a good night. KF watched his uncle dash off before heading inside, his parents probably already asleep.
Sure enough they were knocked out on the couch, his mom curled into his dad. They probably fell asleep watching another movie. Their usual Friday night routine. Smiling, Wally made his way to his room, unaware he was humming a certain song as he went.
