“There’s something under my bed, but it keeps hiding from me.”
“Ah.” Robin offered a hand down to him. “I’ll have a look, okay?”
He blinked and nodded, letting Robin pretend to help him to his feet. “Thank you.”
Robin went in first, setting down his pillow - was that a deformed bat of some kind - and then laying across the bed to peek underneath it. “Nope, nothing there now.” He got up, pushing his sunglasses on more securely and moving to the closet, checking in there. “All clear.” He shut the door again and turned back to Superboy. “You’re all good, nothing in here.”
And some strange relief came over him, making him sag down to sit on the bed. “You’re sure?”
“Positive.” He sat down next to Superboy. “Think you’ll be able to sleep?”
“I hope so,” he said softly. “How do you do it? Avoid the shadows?”
“Shadows don’t worry me. Every shadow is just somewhere for Batman to step from.” He held up his pillow. “It’s silly, but it helps me sleep better, knowing that he’s in the shadows.”
Superboy didn’t quite understand the connection between the pillow and Batman but Robin hugged the pillow to his chest and he looked more relaxed and comfortable.
He reached over, picking up Robin and mimicking him. Robin squeaked but Superboy found that it made him smile slightly like Robin had, hugging his pillow.
“Supes... what are you doing?”
“I don’t know. But it made you look happy, hugging your pillow.”
“Ah.” Robin relaxed, letting himself be held. “Do you want me to stay here tonight? Make sure it doesn’t come back?”
He nodded tensely. “Is that allowed?”
“Sure,” Robin agreed. “You gotta let go for a moment though, lie down.”
He lay down, watching as Robin turned out the light. The chill of fear came back, that it was there, waiting, but then Robin’s light weight dipped the bed and settled down next to him.
“Don’t fear the shadows, okay? I’m right here.”
“Okay,” Superboy agreed softly. He wouldn’t.
“Good,” Robin chuckled. “Night, Supes.”
He wouldn’t fear it anymore.
Because the shadows always held a giggle that was on his side.

FANTASTIC ending line.
I really like how you got all the YJ members to chime in without Superboy going to all their doors. I particularly loved Wally's calm, extensive scientific explanation/suggestion, up against Artemis's succinct and pragmatic one.
"Every shadow is just somewhere for Batman to step from."
Robin has a BAT PLUSHIE. alsdjflj What an adorable image. Even cuter is one of Superboy just picking him up as a talisman against evil. I just loved all of this.
One thing: when Superboy sees Robin in the hallway, he's standing, but then Superboy helps him to his feet? (I know this was just a quick fill, but thought I should point it out.)
