Like every other secret the league has kept from them they find out through Ollie.
Or at least Artemis does, and really, how could she not use this? It was like a gift from the heavens. A week full of cramps, bullies and villains and none of it could dampen this moment.
“They WHAT!!!”
Artemis is absolutely positive she has never seen anyone’s face that red before. It has to be at least as bright as his hair. She can’t quite make a good comparison because he’s also shaking just enough to be blurry.
God, she is so happy she brought popcorn.
“Apparently your uncle has fifty down on Robin making the first move.”
The noise that comes out of his mouth reminds her of old Looney Toons and she paints puffs of steam coming out of his ears with her imagination.
M’gann is hovering anxiously between Superboy and Kaldur’ the three of them lined up between her and Wally like a crowd at a tennis match. “But, I don’t understand. Why would the Justice League bet on such a thing?”
“I don’t know.”
And, holy crap, there goes her popcorn.
Robin was not supposed to be here. She was supposed to be long gone and far away from the possible blast zone when he found out just in case he didn’t believe in sparing the messenger. (Also, somehow, those three words had magically breached the puberty barrier and hit a register completely inappropriate for a bouncy little kid. A little terrifying and a lot of something else that she wasn’t thinking of.)
“I know one thing though, if they’re making these kind of bets about me and KF they’re definitely making other bets too.”
Which…isn’t the nicest thought. And kind of ruins the whole thing. The idea of the Justice League gossiping about Wally and Robin? Hilarious. The idea of someone making money any time they ask for help?
Yeah. Not so much.
Wally, having returned both to his usual color and focus, had an oddly vicious glint in his eye. (Sometimes it was a little disturbing how quick he changed gears. She had to keep reminding herself it was the speed and not a sign of mental illness.)
“I think maybe we should teach them a lesson.”

Wally leaned back against the foot of the bed as he read. “Well now I know why Canary always pairs us up in hand to hand.”
“Dude, seriously?” Robin stretched out over Wally’s shoulder from behind.
“I am so feeling the dis right now.”
Kaldur has claimed the only chair. When he speaks his voice is about half a note higher which means he’s disturbed and begrudgingly amused. “It appears someone has placed a bet for ‘sex pollen’”
“For twenty dollars?” Superboy asks. Kaldur nods. “I think they put that down for everything. I found it for ‘next apocalypse’ and ‘how the next apocalypse is stopped.’”
Wally looks off dreamily. “I saw it for ‘Big Barda VS. Wonder Woman’ but I sort of figured it was more of a suggestion.”
Artemis hits him. Hard. “What a pervert.”
“Ow. Uncle Hal is totally awesome.’
“Uncle? Well I guess that explains,” except she never got to tell him about how lecherous he was because M’gann interrupted with what could only be labeled as a squeal.
“Hello Megan! It’s perfect. It’ll be just like in season three of Sunny Court were Danny wanted to get with Chris, before he found out that it was really Chris’s twin brother Erin, of course.”
For a moment there was silence. M’gann smiled and explained in English instead of rabid fangirl. “Long odds on ‘spin the bottle.’”
She was right. It would be the perfect way to set off the mission.
Superboys brow furrowed. “What’s spin the bottle?”

In the middle of moving so updates might be kinda sporadic. Also could someone tell me how to format italics on LJ? This meme is my first time posting on here and I'm really far from being computer savvy.

Italics on lj is < i > the text you want to italics go here But without the spaces. (like wise doing < b > will give you bold and < u > and will give you underline. :3

XD I can just imagine them choosing one person and then doing their absolute best to make sure s/he wins all the bets.

And yeah they're trying to get as many people as they can with this some more specifically than others.
