here at UNE I decided to take a class on the sociology of medicine. Mind you I am a sociology major, and know nothing about medicine, but being me I decided to get in over my head. Throughout the semester we have been assigned the task of doing a medical journal for a fictional character, it can be anyone at all. So, what with my obsession on Japan and anything Japanese, I decided to make my character from Japan, whats more, someone who lives in a familoy that practices holistic Japanese medicine. I already have read up about techniques such as Hari, Hichibiku, Moxa and Eiyo, but I need to know more about the Japanese herbal medicine tradition, or really anything about herbal medicine at all. Is there anyone who practices or knows about holistic health practices, and traditional Japanese medicine? It would be a great deal of help if someone could write to me about this subject, anything at all, or send me the links or addresses to sites that can provide me with more information than what I have already gathered. I really don't wanna have to change this project because I feel that it will end up being an interesting project and something that I could do very well on.
