But first will come a new creation, once money's coming in again - recreating my SL self in RL. Which will be quite a challenge on the head construction, as I'd be aiming for a more "realistic" look, so foam carving won't be an appropriate technique, given the inevitable extra size. I suspect there'll be some experimentation involved. ^_^; Likely as not, the balaclava/mesh base seems like a good candidate - certainly, the outward results Robert Hill achieved with his fiberglass heads are very good indeed, but that lends an uncomfortably claustrophobic feel to them.
And absolutely, there's a real skill in bringing a costume to life, especially if it's not personal. Sometimes, that can be surprisingly easy (well, at least, not a strain, even if the results weren't necessarily any good =:), if the character resonates with you - I know I had great fun as Vicky Rabbit a couple times.
Gotta love those Keller ears. ^_^ (Especially with this bun - do you know their name? I've only ever known that 'suit visually)
