I have assembled a limited edition, handmade chapbook titled "Postmarks" that I am offering for sale. It debuted at the Author! Author! BookGala I was a part of this past Saturday at Village Books. This was a fun event and I was thrilled tobe there and to have met so many to and to have met so many nice people who were open to all ofour work.
There was another poet there, named
Gerardo Mena. His poetry stems from his service in Iraq. It is haunting, moving, harrowing and amazing. The power in his work, for me, came in listening to him read it out loud. The words and images burst from his soul like a machine gun firing in slow motion. (oh, what a cliche metaphor.) Check out his site where he has examples of his work for you to listen to. Amazing work.
Author Bethany Kent was also there. She writes Fantasy, SF and Paranormal Fantasy Romance. She also posts a lot of her works in progress on her blog.
Check it out, she loves feedback.
About the chapbook: It contains 12 poems (some of which have appeared here, some not), is handmade (which means I printed it, folded it, had it stapled, and created the cover all by myself). It will be limited to the 50 copies I had printed, some of which were purchased Saturday. They will be numbered. I will also sign them if you wish. They will be mailed once a week or so to cut down on trips to the postal station at the grocery store. I've kept the price down and that price does include shipping. Ordering information is below. There is a price for the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
I hope you enjoy the chapbook and I thank you for reading.
