Okay, I so, so want to see more of this. I rarely read unpublished original fic for fun, but this just seems so interesting. I'm not really a big fantasy reader, but I like this verse you've created. You got right to the characters and dialogue, and the interactions between the characters was very engaging.

I really like Alistair. From what I've seen of this and scribblestorm's drabble, he seems like a rather suave, quick-witted guy. XD Oh, and Zhu was too cute, of course. How could anyone kill a guy just smiling at you like that?

I'm also intrigued by the hints of backstory you put in. A big mistake I see from people writing fantasy is that they inundate readers with backstory in the very beginning, and you have to wade through it to get to the good stuff. I like how there's an element of mystery here. I'm curious about the woman and half-demon from Alistair's past.

Oh! And I liked the description of Zhu's eyes. A lot of eye-descrption I see comes off as rather purple prosey (lol at 'cerulean orbs'), but it enhanced your story here.

Like I said, look forward to seeing more!
