I'm pretty excited about the end of this month.
On the 24th, I'll be leaving to spend the week with my Dad, step mom, and two brothers. We're going to be somewhere near Traverse City to go to a family reunion, and I'll be re-meeting all sorts who haven't seen me since I was in diapers. We'll be camping there for three days, and I get to go canoing (YAY!!!), rafting, and they have a bonfire every night. Most of my Dad's side of the family looks down on drinking, so my step mom and I get to sneak off to a cabin and then wander our way back to the campfire... This is going to be some trip.
After we bid our fond farewell to the rest of the Bies clan, our little group will be heading over to Michigan's Adventure. I've been there once before, on a field trip with band class in 8th grade. THey have the cutest little roller coaster there, it's a miniature version of the Corkscrew. They also have a great little water park, with a few slides (made for three to five people riding inner tubes) which I plan to visit frequently while there. They were my favorite part of the band trip. :)
Thinking back on it, when I was there before I had a bad run-in with a wave pool. It's not easy to swim out of overwhelming waves when you're a little person... I though I was going to drown, and some woman was staring at me like I was some kind of idiot. Damn, lady, I only wanted to get out of there, it wasn't my fault the waves kept pulling me back!
