"GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israel assassinated Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi in a missile strike on his car Saturday, part of its declared campaign to wipe out the Islamic militant group's leadership ahead of a planned Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip."
"The attack came less than a month after Israel killed Hamas founder Sheik Ahmed Yassin in an air strike outside a Gaza City mosque."
" Hamas is responsible for most of the 112 suicide bombings that have killed 465 people on the Israeli side during 3 1/2 years of violence."
"Rantisi was one of the most hard-line members of the militant movement, which rejects all compromise with Israel and calls for the destruction of the Jewish state."

I think its good that they killed him. There will be attacks of revenge but there would have been attacks anyway. Like this maybe some of them will stop wanting to be the leaders. I hope when Israel pulls out of Gaza, like its planning to, the Palestinians get a state. Then they'll have to take responisibility for having terrorists go into a neighboring country and killing civilians. THen again, being a nation hasnt stopped Lebanese guerillas from firing missiles into Israel. Also, Israel found a tunnel that was suspected of being used to bring weapons into the country for Hamas, and when they blew it up and collapsed the opening that was in Israel, smoke came out on the other side of the tunnel, in an Egyption base.
This should stir up some comments.
