I haz heat!

The electrician has come and gone and now I have a much warmer apartment. The maintenance man that originally replaced the circuit breaker (which was bad) had changed the order of the breakers in the control panel. We both learned from the electrician that this is BAD. The circuits in the breaker box have different voltages going to them. If the maintenance man had replaced the breaker and put it in the original position I would have had heat sooner. However it would not have entirely fixed the problem. There was a wiring issue as well in the thermostat box that had to be taken care of. They were not to forthcoming about what the issue was, only that i overheard some stuff about seeing sparks where there should not be any. Now it's fixed and all is well.

This is the week for wiring and having strangers in my house. Tomorrow and Thurs. Verizon is wiring the entire building to install Fiber Optics to every apt in the building. Now I get to remove everything out of my closet so they can install what they need. This means that I will have to move my bed as well.

None of this is fun when you are sick. Bleh. But I have heat!!!! YAY!!!
