YARRRRR!

Uhm, not much happening right now, it is still winter break for me and I'm still taking winter classes! It's a very simple Biotech class, and yet interesting because it's more "hands-on" than Microbio lab and puts an engineering perspective on bioreactors and such (what component of this is, etc).

Asides from that..... MCAT studying! Or at least attempted MCAT studying. I'm just about to finish all the stuff from Organic Chemistry that I haven't learnt yet, and I gotta start with everything else soon.... I'll probably be stuck in a room with a digital timer and a practice exam by next week. Hopefully I'll be primed and ready by the time mid-April rolls in.

I'm trying to throw away the habit of playing computer games, but it's very hard to do so especially during the lax winter break (I've already gone through old games like Red Alert 2, Crimson Skies.....). I understand I need time to relax, but I'd prefer it to not be used on something that is pointless. Gah, even sitting here is pointless. I need to get away from the computer, period. :/

I've started to pick up books again, thankfully - "The Persian Puzzle" by Middle East analyst Kenneth Pollack is pretty interesting and relevant (with an awful lot of parallels with Chinese history as well!). I think I'm going to focus my reading a bit on Iran-related stuff (there is an element of wishful thinking in here, but that is also part of the relaxation process).

Sorta anxious for this semester to start and be done with. As always, it will be an interesting half of a year!
