(no subject)

*blink* And it has been 3 weeks since I have mentioned any significant. Not much to say, just that I've been very busy; not busy enough to be completely isolated, but busy enough to not really think much about posting anything. I do go through these journals and the forums during my daily leisure internet time. I just don't want to mentally put any effort in typing something. Hmm. This must have been a weekend of procrastination then.... :P

I've decided that I enjoy Mammalian Physiology a lot. The study hours are long, and the exams can still get quite frustrating, but the subject material is interesting enough and I really like the hints of Physics involved. Poiseuille's law, LaPlace's Law, Wigger's Diagram, etc... simple mathmatical principles that fit into concepts of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system. I enjoy learning all this material, and figuring out all the neat little connections for myself.

Fluid Mechanics has been sorta slow in terms of lectures lately. There's a lot of tie-ins with Mammalian Physiology, but for the most part all these equations are basic and have a "common sense" quality to them. Or maybe it's been too much of this project lately. We have to work with more engineering software, such as GAMBIT (a grid construction program) and Fluent (applying the grid and use it to simulate a fluid). They are useful tools, but setting up the right grids and getting convergent solutions is starting to get a bit tedious. Major headaches whenever I have to stare at a screen and look through all these calculation iterations...

Other classes are okay, not worth mentioning too much about. Lots of reading, lots of lab reports, etc.

Socially, there hasn't been much trouble, and I think I am starting to get comfortable with all the people inside my faculty. I also haven't seen any of my old dormitory friends for the past month or so, and I don't feel too bad about it. Frankly there's more to talk about in terms of culture, politics, academics and funny professors, then drinking, football.... even computer games. *dun dun dunnn*

Now, as soon as that pretty Persian girl from Mammalian Physiology stops making my head turn, and when people stop teasing me about trying make friends with female colleagues (honestly no funny ideas)... I'd say I am pretty normal nowadays. :P
