Christmas ^-^
Christmas is over... sad but true.
I always enjoy Christmas time, giving presents, receiving presents, eating, chatting, having time, candles, Christmas tree etc etc. A time to relax. This year I had two weeks free time around Christmas, or rather still HAVE. I've been really, really lazy the last days and I think I should start doing more productive things like writing my paper tomorrow.
Last week was PLACEBO!!!
Their second to last concert was in Hannover and Melli, Nadine and me were there! Lately, I came to looooooove Placebo. Their music is awesome! I really don't know why I didn't like them before. There were some drawbacks, but it was still a cool concert. I caught a cold the day before so I had difficulties to catch enough breath to sing along. But nevertheless I sang along ALL the songs and had a really, really good time. One of the drawbacks, though, was the atmosphere in the hall. The people should have been Placebo fans but somehow NOBODY participated during the songs. Whenever I looked to the back of the hall, there were only 10 hands in the air... out of 5000 people! Normally, I'm not the one to start clapping, but here I was. That was so damn strange >_<. Hey, you have to support the band, show them that you're THERE! Just wave or do whatever, but DO something. The second drawback was the lack of interaction of the band with the crowd. Brian hardly ever talked and IF he did, you had no chance to understand what the hell he said. The performance for every song was the same. There was no memorable moment, nothing, and not even an encore! The first and only time I had no encore was in this very same hall with HIM 6 years back. I cheer for ages, doesn't matter, as long as the band finally comes out again. But here, the didn't give us a chance. The lights went on and the staff started to usher people out of the hall. That sucks!
But it was awesome to sing along the songs, hear them live again. I still LOVE Placebo. Maybe I will go to Paris again when they are playing there, thereby combining seeing Olivia and going to a concert. Placebo like Paris (I assume) and so the atmosphere will be much better there ^-^
