Episode Review - Battlestar Galactica - Passage

Let me start off saying that there wasn’t nearly enough SQUEE in the episode. And yet, it still serves the Squee. We’ll get there. The premise for last night’s episode - the food shortage? That’s dumb. It was a good strong episode for characters, but with one exception (which, of course, I’ll get to), it was dumb and did not lead the plot anywhere ( Read more... )

Who pulled his file and threw it on the table? You think Saul snuck his file in there? You just really have it in for him on this topic and I realize there will be no convincing you otherwise. A resistance group tried to kill him. Not one man. Do I agree with them doing it? No.

Then what is the problem with Gaeta not being happy that Tigh has returned to the CIC. Ok, fine, *Someone other than Tigh* put Gaeta's file down. Now who argued that if his own wife had to die, then Gaeta also should? Was it Adama? Or was it *Tigh*? Who browbeat Tyrol into changing his vote when Tyrol felt that there was no evidence to support the idea that Gaeta killed anyone? Was it Kara and *Saul*?

Why.. I think it was. I think *Saul* was in that group of six who was murdering people with no evidence of wrong doing. Now, is *Saul* more culpable of murdering innocent people without a trial than Seelix, Barolay,Connors,Tyrol, and Kara? No. Is he LESS culpable? No.

Whats pissing me off is that you're somehow arguing that Gaeta has NO RIGHT to be pissed off that he was helping the resistance and was nearly murdered for his efforts with no apology. I don't want Tigh dead over it. Hell, I don't even want Tigh punched in the face over it. But its been what, two months since Tigh almost MURDERED Gaeta for the crime of... well, hell, for no crime at all since Gaeta was actually the dude who was helping the resistance. The guy isn't punching people out, he's just glaring in anger at the guy who helped convict him of crimes against humanity in a kangaroo court where he was convicted before he was even allowed to speak. God forbid he be a little pissed.

Perhaps he should have gotten on his knees and begged *Saul* to kick him in the ass for all the crap he'd done? And then let everyone kick him in the ass? Because obviously you don't think Gaeta has paid enough so what form of torture - you know, beyond being tied up and beaten in an airlock before execution is gonna make Gaeta worth life again?

I like Tigh. I actually like that he hasn't been groveling apologies to Gaeta, because I think it's out of character. I like that he's damaged. I just don't see his damage as a reason for anyone else, including gaeta, to not be allowed honest human anger towards him and his nasty behavior.
