Who would have ever thought?

In the past (school, army, previous job), if I were sick, I wouldn't show up for school, or work (IZ), and during my army service I would get sick days or someone to cover my shift and stay in bed all day with a hot cup of soup that Shimrit would bring me from her mom.

Now, this new job that I'm at for a month and a half, I have 38C fever (that's 100.4F for you people) and not only did I come in to work, I came in early after staying late yesterday.

The thing is, I can take sick days, and naturally I've thought about it, but I have a visit from the head of IT Europe at Abbott on Monday and I have a billion things to do like organize my server room (half the walls for the server itself aren't even here yet..., my comm-wall which looks like shit, learn a whole bunch of useless things, organize my hardware in drawers that don't quite exist yet... A ton and a half of work to be done by tomorrow evening.

With a fever.

And tomorrow I'm supposed to go out for drinks with Liad (and whoever wants to join!) because I haven't seen him in about 7 weeks, and I'm going to be dead but I'll be there. Dead.

38C. I don't get that sick. I usually make it up. I'm so drugged up right now, you have no idea. And I'm procrastinating.... Not actually doing all the things I'm supposed to do....

sick, visit, liad, it
