[Or well, it's been open for some time, just that I've never gotten around to posting about it. But yes, any visitors on the first floor might notice a new entrance in the lobby. It's arch-shaped and larger than normal, and it's closed off with a wicker gate that's only about waist high. There's a bell hung in the archway that can be rung with a

Because there's a kid that's coming around the side of an arch to stare at Stardust - just to be sure he is sleeping - before peeking into the room itself.
And yet he's not jumping in to cause trouble. The wonders.]

Still, that egg he has is probably close to hatching, and Ara doesn't want to tear the Pokemon away now that it's likely gotten used to Alarm.
He wants to believe that this kid's just some kind of impudent brat, but the strange behavior of his Pokemon around him during their last meeting suggest otherwise. He'll treat him with a reserved attitude should Alarm come near.]

...one can assume.
Though the kid's not carrying anything but that staff on him as he looks over the different pokemon with a growing frown, like he's looking for something but can't spot it. Or doesn't know what he's looking for.
SO eventually he stops the would-be lurking to just call right across the room.]
Hey!

Ah?

Did you hatch all of these?
[...yes, that certainly helps the identity mystery. =/]

[Yes, it certainly does.]
And...how is your egg? [:|]

The egg's cracked.
I'm looking for what came out.
[...shame? What's that?]

Did you get a glimpse of what it looked like? [If it would have run away from him, though, what did he do to it...?]

[And he totally blames the misplaced pokemon on that.
The fact he was screaming and cackling at shadows by the end definitely didn't affect anything.]

Now how to find it...

So far that's just getting him a "weird" label in his book. What grown up doesn't nag or lecture or punish??]
That's why I'm here. You're the expert aren't you?

[He's more focused on finding the Pokemon itself rather than worrying about accountability. At the moment. He'd probably lecture later once he's assured of the Pokemon's safety.
As it is, he's going over to the bookshelf behind his front desk, running a finger along the spines of the many books on it.]
The egg you had. What did it look like?
Reply
All he got out of it was "Nope, but I'll try to search for you." Good enough.
But he might zone back in and take his smirk off a couple baby pokemon fighting over a ball to stare his way.]
-yellow, with red lines on it. Like knives.
[...most people would call that waves or zig-zags, kid.]

[So judgmental. But he'll stop scoffing enough to give some bored answers.]
It was warm, and cracked...a while ago. The thing was smaller than me, and part of it burned me. [Holds up an arm, to show his forearm's got some red marks.] And it made weird noises.
[Again, no shame as he pretty much mimics a monkey.]

[Those sounds, though, definitely narrows it down.]
I think...it could be one of these two. Either way, we'd likely find it someplace warm, like the boiler room.
[He opens up two books for Alarm to look at, one with a picture of a Pansear and one with a picture of a Chimchar.]
Let me get some things, and I think we should be able to find it.
