[Suddenly, a British accent rings out through the dark, accompanied by the sound of sneakers tripping over themselves.]
H-hello? Anybody?
.....Oh dear.
[Something around his neck jangles in the silence.]
[[ooc: Soooo I decided to give Bluebell his landlord back. And give them a dubverse AU since we need more Ted Lewis up in here. Information in

Hello?
[He glances around for the speaker. Brooklime's Ring is rather less jangly.]
Reply
[Something might have just bumped into you. Oops.]
Oh, there you are! Sorry about that.
Reply
Ah- my fault. My ring didn't catch you, did it? [Though it isn't reacting. Brooklime's ring can be faulty at the worst possible moments.]
It's not the lights - it's just been like this for a little while. It sorts itself out, I think. Supposedly? [That sounded very uncertain. Also mildly apologetic for his own babbling.]
Reply
He reaches up to scratch behind his head, chuckling nervously.]
Ah, no, it's quite all right! I'm fine...
Didn't the lights only just turn off?
Reply
Um, they've been out a little while now. Just out of interest, are you new?
[The welcoming crew has never felt more awkward.]
Reply
Beg pardon?
[In other words, yes.]
Reply
You've been taken out of your world, and now you're trapped here.
[Great going, self.]
...Sorry.
Reply
Oh.
That would be terribly disorienting, yes!
And this is....that?
[He can't keep up the cheerful attitude.]
But I've got something I have to do.
Reply
[He notices that last comment, and- this is strangely reminiscent of his own introduction. Not that he's going to think about that too hard.]
Don't worry - lots of us do, I think. Have places to get back to, I mean. Time stands still here. Don't ask what happens if you don't go back, and your universe is left frozen forever, I can't really figure that out- [Babbling.]

[His voice almost squeaks at that, and there's another jangling sound as he double-checks to make sure he's still wearing the Ring. And - oh goodness, this isn't his coat, why is he wearing this coat.
But he has to do this himself! He can't ask the spirit to take over for him. He has to prove that he, Ryou Bakura, and no one else, is the only suitable host.]
And I might not be able to go back? That - that can't be -
I've botched everything again.
Reply
[If it was light enough to see, Brooklime would be looking utterly embarrassed by now. And also fiddling nervously with the ring.]
But, it's not... that... bad here... [That wasn't particularly convincing. He searches for something to say that's entirely truthful yet reassuring. And draws a blank. But he's noticed the jangling noise, and is now beginning to wonder about it.] Sorry, I didn't catch your name?
Reply
Ah, sorry, how rude of me! My name's Bakura.
[Pronounced, for some reason, buhCOREuh.]
Who might you be?
Reply
Ah. Right. Um. [Please don't turn out to be hosting yet another Ring Spirit. Two in one day might kill him.
Potentially literally.]
You're- ah- me. I'm Bakura, too. [This pronounced without the weird emphasis on the second syllable. Helplessly,] Pleased to meet you?
Reply
What?
What?]
A-ah - same to you....
How is that possible?
Is this normal for here?
[It's the worst possible scenario. The worst ever.
How is he supposed to prove he's the best and only host if there are more of him running around? Okay, Bakura, get a grip. You're going to have to do something incredible.
So stop stammering.]

[If not, someone out there really hates him. Though apparently not as much as it could do - this version's Ring isn't doing too much.]
But universes are generally fairly different - I mean, copies of people are sometimes unrecognisable. There's probably very little that's similar about our worlds, if we compared them.
[By all of which he means: "So, what happened with the Pharaoh in your version?" He is also - very casually - backing away a few paces. Just to be safe.]
Reply
[He taps his chin in the dark while he thinks. That only means there's a greater chance other hosts have done more exciting things, doesn't it? All right. No more surprise. No more flailing around.
It's time to make his friend proud.]
So we're copies in name only. That's interesting! I'd love to hear more about it. Is there anyplace we could sit down?
[What if this one is also collecting Items? Maybe they have some, and he could steal them! Bakura has never stolen anything without the Ring's assistance before (and he wishes it weren't being so quiet ;A;), but he's sure he can do it. The Ring makes it look so easy!]
