I'm new - tell me if I'm doing anything wrong!

[Mokuba is confused, lost and increasingly frustrated. He is also unsure of how exactly he has ended up here (wherever 'here' is), but is fairly sure that it isn't the Kaiba mansion. Which can mean only one thing.]

I don't know who you are, but I won't tell you ANYTHING! I've been kidnapped before LOADS, and I've never spilled any company secrets!

Sorry for the lateness but I had a busy week. But omg YAY another Moku! :3 commissioner_mk September 12 2011, 21:48:35 UTC
As much as I hate to tell you this, you haven't been kidnapped. For once.

Another one! ...Okay, maybe mine does need a nickname :P capsule_king September 13 2011, 14:53:34 UTC
And who exactly are you? [He stands his ground, and fixes his kidnapper with a glare to melt steel. Or at least, a glare he hopes is fit to melt steel.]

[Mica moves to flick his double in the forehead.]

I'm you. And wipe that look off your face, you look like an idiot. [More like a creampuff actually. Why did all his doubles not have the ability to look intimidating in the least?]

I- what?? [That is patently impossible and you are obviously either stupid or lying, and definitely not freaking Mokuba out.]

Get off! You look like an idiot! [The indignity! This guy has some nerve.]

[He sighed, removing his glasses to rub between his eyes.]

Listen, we're the same person. Just from different worlds and times. This place is a nexus that drags everyone in. I guess in a way you were kidnapped but...the building did it, not a person.

A nexus between- [He thinks about that for a moment. It is surprisingly plausible, given this guy looks exactly like him. Well, a lot like him.]

If you're me, you should have the Millenium Puzzle! [He smirks. You have officially been proven wrong.]

It doesn't work that way. In my world, Yugi has the puzzle. Well, I'm not actually sure if he still does. It's been quite a few years since I last spoke to him...I think last time was before I went to university.

Yugi? Who's he? Why would he have this? [He clutches the puzzle, bemused.]

Can't I get back home? [He mentally kicks himself for sounding pathetic, but can't bring himself to regret voicing the question.]

...Yugi Motou? He holds the title Duel Monsters Champion. That puzzle...

[Good job, little double. You've managed to confuse Mica.]

I guess he either doesn't exist in your world or just hasn't become famous...

Nevermind then. Unfortunately there's no way to get home on your own. You go back when the building decides to send you home. However, in exchange, you get your own room and everything is free. The only way I can make this sound less bad is just you should think of this as a all-expenses paid vacation at a really advanced hotel.

He sounds familiar, but I'm not into Duel Monsters. [He's incredibly dismissive, saying that.] Capmon's the way to go! This puzzle's gonna help me be the champion.

Wah? [And, confusion.] But, I have a tournament I need to get to!

[Oh gods, another double in to that game...]

Sorry, but you're not going to make it. At the very least it'll be on delay until you return.

capsule_king September 17 2011, 18:42:50 UTC
Wait, what do you mean delay?

[His expression quickly morphs into suspicion.]

Is Pegasus in on this? [After all, inviting someone to a tournament like - that - is just weird!]

commissioner_mk September 17 2011, 23:29:09 UTC
No. Where would you get an idea like that? [Then he remembered he was older than this double.]

What I meant by delay is assuming it works the same way for everyone, time in your world should have stopped the minute you entered this place. Meaning when you return, everything will be as you left it and no one will even know you left.

So, I won't miss the tournament, and no one will miss me. [That's useful. Suprisingly so. And thus...] What's the catch?

Reply

commissioner_mk September 18 2011, 09:21:57 UTC
The catch? Aside from taking people from their homes with no warning and no way of knowing when they'll return home...when I said there were multiples of everyone here, I do mean everyone. Enemy and ally alike. Plus this place likes to...change...on occasion and there's no way to tell what it will do or what will happen during those changes.

But they can't do anything to me here, right? [The only enemies he's come across so far have been those of KaibaCorp, who wouldn't exactly benefit from an alternate universe version of Mokuba - and the ring spirit. Who totally got beaten, and couldn't possibly come back.]

And what do you mean, 'change'?
