[Somebody he definitely ran into that week walks by, but he's not going directly down that dark hall.

He's just struggling to push a shopping cart passed.]

[He spies Yuugi. He isn't much of one to apologize and he's not even sure what to say in the first place. But he does move closer to the entrance to his dark hallway, enough so Yuugi can see him if he wants to. It's up to Yuugi if he says anything.]

[At first Upwords won't notice the Kaiser coming by - the black safe and the padlock set in the cart are blocking most of his view - but once he catches somebody coming up, like he'll cross his path, he jolts to a stop.]

Sorry, I can't see where I'm-

[He just peeked around and sees it's not somebody getting in front of him, nor a stranger.]

Ah- um- Oh.

[He's pretty tense and wide-eyed, but, after waiting a second and nothing happening, he'll give a hesitant restart.]

[Guilt isn't much a part of his makeup. But he can't help a mild flicker of it anyway.]

Hello. [Awkward!Kaiser is awkward.]

[He's not too comfortable himself, and he's staying planted behind that cart, shuffling on his feet.]

Um, what were you, doing back there?

[He gives a head-nod to that hall, without looking away.]

[He shrugs a little.] Nothing of importance. [His own annoyance at himself is more his business than anyone else's. He doesn't make a move closer, though. He's actually not hungry right now.]

[Keeping things to himself is perfectly fine. Unfortunately, that leaves Upwords to imagine up answers for himself-

So he drops farther back behind the cart, but still calms a bit. Since Kaiser's not moving.]

I was just. Taking this to my room...

[He considers for a few moments. Apologies aren't much in his nature, no more than guilt is, but...]

I...apologize for what I did. [The words feel and sound strange in his mouth. He's never done this before.]
