[When Buckaroo sees Isis, even with all the weirdness he's seen so far in the DR, he automatically assumes that she's the Isis he knows.

So, have a little Atem waiting patiently for you to open your eyes, Isis.]

Isis? When did you come here?

[...Okay, maybe not so patiently.]

[That certainly gets her to open them. Though Buckaroo probably doesn't expect her to blink a few times and then stand up very suddenly, looking around and then back down at him. The number of unexpected things here is rather staggering.]

--Yuugi?

[....though he's too short and young-looking even for Yuugi. In fact, given the way he's dressed, he's almost - and what's happened, anyway? Where is she? She's calm already, but still unsettled.]

No, Isis, it's me, Atem. Is Mahado here? Or Mana? Or Set? Oh! Have you seen my father?

[He's too excited by the idea of having found someone from his world and time to pick up on the hints that he's got the wrong idea, but he should realise pretty soon.]

...Atem? [The Pharaoh - or, at this age, prince? Glancing around confirms that she's certainly not somehow back in Ancient Egypt. It's all too real to be a vision, as well (not that she could have one without the Necklace regardless). Everything here is out of place. Including her.

As he's definitely the Atem she knew, however, she bows her head respectfully to him, hands folded.]

I'm afraid you've mistaken me for someone else, Pha - Prince. My name is Isis Ishtar, and I come from the future of your country. My apologies for disappointing you.

[How does one best ask a child - a child one's family has been sworn to serve - where on earth they are? He doesn't seem disturbed by the scenery in the slightest.]

[He looks positively downcast when he realises that this isn't the Isis he knows, but then does his best to compose himself. He is a prince, after all.]

No, I'm sorry for thinking you were someone I know. I hope I didn't offend you.

[...Oh, gods damn it, he can't possibly concel his curiosity.]

You're really from the future, though? What is it like?

[She smiles for him.] There's no need to feel sorry, your highness. You resemble someone I know, as well.

[Wherever they are, he doesn't seem to be upset at being there, just sad she's not someone from his home. Otherwise he wouldn't have the presence of mind to ask such adorable questions.]

The future is....[She'll leave out the fact he gets to see it for now.] It's an exciting place, and many things have changed. But its people still remember and honor your culture, and some of your traditions have been passed down through generations, or reinvented for a new age. I myself have devoted my life to making sure your kingdom's culture and legacy are never forgotten. It's how I know your name.

This doesn't look like your home, however. How did you come here, and what is this place? Please pardon my rudeness in asking directly.

[He will smother her with his adorable.]

That sounds amazing! I'd like to see it all for myself. How far into the future are you? Are the pyramids still standing?

[He's flushed with excitement, but somehow still remembers that he ought to be saying the royal things too. How to behave has been drilled into him enough, after all, even if it hasn't applied much in the DR.]

And - thank you for what you've done. For remembering my family and the past. I - um - I'm very grateful and I'm sure my father would be too.

[A small child, even one who appears to be Atem, isn't the best source of information one could have, Isis supposes, and she shouldn't expect that of him either. So she'll figure out what she can on her own.

She bows to him as he thanks her.] We do our work without expecting an opportunity to be thanked, so it's my pleasure. I come from three thousand years after your time, but I assure you - not even such a gap could make your pyramids crumble. They remain, as do many other remnants of your world. And what time has claimed, people seek to restore.

I believe you will like the future, should circumstances permit you to see it one day. You'd be sure to make wonderful friends and would prove an inspiration to them in turn.

Are you with anyone now? [Because no matter where they are and no matter who he is, small children shouldn't be left alone.]

You deserve to be thanked, though.

[He gasps.] Three thousand years? That's amazing! Is it a good world? And I hope I'd make friends in the future! I'd like to learn about it from them, and tell them about the way Egypt was.

I have some friends here. Crow helped me find my way around, and Seiran and her friend Silent Magician are my friends, and I have a pet!

[Can you feel the enthusiasm, Isis?

Also, he's figuring it'd be better not to tell her about his run-in with the guy who wanted to kill him.]

[That she certainly can! Though she's also properly appreciative of his princely concerns, and wearing quite the knowing smile. The mention of a Duel Monster is odd, but no stranger than anything else.]

It sounds like you've adjusted to life away from home here very nicely. Just like you'd adjust to life in my time. You do your family proud.

[She kneels down elegantly (or, well, as elegantly as is possible to kneel) to be on eye level with him.] If you'd be so kind as to show me around like your friend Crow, I could tell you more about the future as we walk. It's...not perfect, but a good world all the same. Would you like that?

[He smiles widely when Isis says he does his family proud, showing the gap in his teeth. Her suggestion of him showing her around sounds great, too; he'd intended to do so anyway, and to get to learn more about the future too sounds like a pretty good deal to him.]

I would be happy to show you this place, Isis - um, is it alright for me to call you that?

[A-aww, that smile. *_* "Respectful servant" is starting to bump up against "big sister" instincts in her head.]

It's perfectly fine, your highness. I'm honored to be assisted by you. Please, show me wherever you'd like.

[[ooc: is it ok for me to tag buckaroo with brunch for the alice event? he won't ~scheme~ against him post-event if you don't want him to.]]

[Let it bump, Isis. Gods know Buckaroo shouldn't be left to his own devices.]

Alright, then, Isis. [He thinks for a moment about what to show Isis first.] If we go this way, there's a place to get food.

[ooc: sure, that's fine with me! And I'm fine with scheming, too. I like throwing Buckaroo at bad situations too much.]

That sounds like an excellent place to start.

[She'll follow a bit behind him with her hands folded in front of her unless he insists on walking some other way. She still doesn't exactly know where she's ended up, but this seems to be a good start and Atem seems happy here. Presumably he was taken the same way she'd been.]

How long have you been in this - place? It seems quite different from what you'd be used to.
