[Woodpecker was doing great for a while. He really was. He'd thought that even though the people he knew weren't there, he could hold out until the DR decided to send him home.
It didn't work out that way.
He met a Ryo and a Fubuki here, but they didn't make being here easier. Instead, seeing all the differences between them and the ones he knew only

...Really.
[After a few moments of undoubtedly loaded silence pass between them, Trueman takes a few steps into the confines of the pleasantly dim room. Taking his time in casually turning and shutting the door behind him, he also takes the greatest of cares in ensuring that the typical 'click' of the doorknob's lock is rendered mute with slow and patient movements.]

Or, ohhh, do you suppose that you will you beg some other God for salvation?
...It was never clear to me, back then, Fujiwara Yusuke. You were so afraid, even of salvation; you never opened your mind to Darkness, never to me, and Darkness was too trusting in His endless benevolence.
So tell me now: do you believe that you are the center of the universe? That you are the only creature capable of feeling..? Do you think it is some bizarre and unique occurrence specific to you, that you find it painful to exist..? To be betrayed? To be lied to, and used..?
Because it is painful for others, Fujiwara Yusuke.
Very, very painful.
[And Trueman grits his teeth, having crossed his arms over his chest some time ago, in the middle of his baseless rambling. He is beating around the bush regarding his desires, and his thoughts are becoming increasingly more fragmented as his frustrations rise. It would be so much easier, could Trueman just be blunt. And could Trueman punch Fujiwara in the face a few times, maybe.]
