[Light is kinda wandering aimlessly, until he reaches the park and spots a certain girl! And she looks like she's in a lot of pain, particularly with her limping and wrapped foot. He approaches her hesitantly.]

Um... are you alright?

[crows_nest_girl]

[Oops. You're a stranger, Light. Sorry. She kind of shrinks.] Crow-niichan says not to talk to strangers - nnnn! [And that last would be a little cry of pain when she tries to move her foot.]

[He grimaces, partially due to the "don't talk to strangers" thing and partially due to her yelp of pain.]

...Well, you're limping, and you don't exactly look or sound like you're enjoying being in pain...

[Mia whines a little.] The mean girl hurt my foot.

Well, I'm sure there's a few mean girls here... but that doesn't matter.

Um... can I see it? I think maybe I...

[He trails off, then tries again.]

...I mean, I wanna see if there's anything I can do. It's no good if you can barely walk, right?

. . . niichan says I have to keep the wrap on so it doesn't fall in two again. [She holds her hands up with the heels together and the fingers going in two separate directions.] It looks like that.

[Cringe.]

...Ow. And someone did that to you? Jeez...

[A long, hesitant pause. He seems to be debating something.]

...Maybe I could... try to fix it...? I mean, if you're willing to be a test guinea pig for it... I've never done it for anyone before, but I'm supposed to be able to.

. . . [And, well, she's not supposed to talk to strangers, but her foot HURTS and it's not like he's pulling a knife on her or anything, so finally she just nods.]

Okay... I mean, I don't think anything will happen if it doesn't work. So it's worth a try, right...?

[Light kneels down and gently unwraps the bandage so he can have access to her bare ankle, not wanting to undo the whole thing but needing to be as close to the injury as possible. He puts both his hands on her ankle and closes his eyes, summoning up a small fragment of energy.

It takes a moment, but Mia will feel a sort of pleasantly warm sensation starting from the point of contact and spreading to the injured foot. It will go vaguely numb for a while, and when Light pulls back suddenly after a while, out of energy to keep going, the foot will be back in one piece, at least, though there will still be scar tissue, and it may still be a little tender for a while, but not nearly as much as it was.

He takes a deep breath, realizing he'd forgotten to breathe during the process from being so nervous.]

Haaaa...

[Mia looks down, a little startled.] . . . . .

. . . the itchy's gone.

...Good. That means it at least helped... I don't know how fully it healed, but it should at least be a whole foot again, I think.

I'm still not very good at it, but... it was a chance to practice, I guess.

[Mia looks down at it, then tries to rest her weight on it. It feels a little like walking barefoot across stones, but it doesn't *hurt.* She staaaaaaaaaaaares down at it, then back up at Juudai. He might note that she looks a little shocked, in a good way - it's been a few weeks since she's even been able to *touch* her foot.]

[He smiles, a bit worn out.]

Well, I'm glad that worked out, anyway. Ah, hey, um... what's your name? I'm Juudai.
