Heartbreaking. You can really feel Raphael's pain and frustration. And there's such realism in the piece. In a situation like Raphael's, it's so easy to imagine the return being just like this.

Sorry I took so long to reply! I didn't get off work until late.

It never really hit me how bad Raphael's situation was after getting off the island when I saw it the first time. It wasn't until I re-watched the subbed episodes later when I realized how truly terrible it was for him. It couldn't have been any picnic, what with everyone clamoring for his story - and his relatives certainly didn't make it any easier for him to adjust.

I liked the way you've picked up right where DOMA ends. I could see this happening. Raphael's frustration and feeling of being trapped - isolated in the middle of a crowd - leaps off the page.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!

EDIT: Pushed the wrong key. Oopsies.

I always felt like Raphael got the short end of the stick when he came back to the island. It couldn't have been easy to adjust to his new living situation, and coupled with what was going on around him...well, it's no wonder he felt so lost.

This is awesome. Raphael was the perfect character for this theme; and you greatly pictured what he went through. With such a situation, it is perfectly understandable he trusted Dartz's words at once and immedialty joined Doma. Such an underrated character, yet so fascinating.

You did such a great job with him all I want to do is to rewatch the subbed episodes once more! :P
