How can you love something that is forced at you?

if it was shoved in your hand?

And the blood that flows is as hot as the furnace below
and it feeds my flower itself
For my flower needs the heat to grow
the heat of anger and pain
the end of the spectrum of human emotion
where dwell the lowest of the low
anger, betrayal, pain, malice, jealousy, accusations
all of the things with negative connotations
that feed the flower from within and out
pressuring it to bear fruit with defiance and doubt
The fruit which is now juicy and ripe
The fruit of insanity ready to be picked
by the hands of the greedy saturated with this vine
and spilling blood
only desiring this fruit of mine
so they rip it and take it
and eat it as they were slated to do
and hence the cycle begins anew
but I am left in the dust to rot and wait
and the boiled silver begins to rust and leave in its wake
a trail of hurt, tears, and pain
Where I am, where was the flower?
So entertwined, you can't tell...
Now all is left is to lie down and sleep
and wait silently for death to come and take you to keep...

Not like we had a choice...however...New Orleans did! 10 years ago, the gov't gave them money to spend on fixing those levies! They, however, diverted it toward a better cause (didn't know Marti Gras was a "better cause", but w/e). Plus I would like to tell Oprah to STFU!!! OMG, she is making me so angry >_> "Why isn't America responding better? Its because we are all racist!" Well, Oprah.... you're the richest woman in the world and I don't see you...
1. giving your billions of dollars to help the effort
2. down there physically helping people
3. taking anyone in
4. using your show to find help for these people
She could probably take care of all those people single handedly. So...bottom line is, don't complain if you aren't going to do anything! America is run by this Me-first mentality and this is a prime example of it. She spends 12k on shoes.... 12k could buy families food and shelter and stuff! And she is complaining about the gov't... the Gov't can't fix everyone's problems! So don't expect results when you don't do anything about it! To Americans: If you want something done, get off your lazy bum and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!
**Now I am not trying to down play the need of the victims of Katrina. All of those people need help desperately and it is not their fault this happened**
Also.... JUST SHOOT THE LOOTERS! If they ahve the indecency to loot stuff, they deserve to be shot. So shoot them if they're in the way
