BAG OF TEETH - a Multi Media Event produced by Damian Rojo

Esteemed artist and Miami native Damian Rojo has finally returned home after a seven-year sojourn in California. One of his first projects on home soil has been to develop a venue dedicated to the creation, installation and exhibition of works of the arts presented in a non-commercial setting.
On April 16 in this un-named space located in the newly christened St. Mary’s Art District, Damian Rojo will inaugurate his new showcase venue with his much anticipated first post-return event titled BAG OF TEETH. This live, unadulterated, one-night-only spectacle will offer a glimpse into the real life struggle experienced by one-time backyard wrestlers in their ongoing, often brutal road to professional wrestling. The happening will include a live Wrestling Exhibition and a preview of Rojo’s documentary feature, BAG OF TEETH. This event will also include an exhibition of gifted photographer Alex Heria’s powerful photographs of NAW (New Age of Wrestling) wrestlers and a large-scale, wrestling inspired kinetic sculpture by Lazaro Amaral. See www.nawcharity.com for more information about New Age of Wrestling, a group that raises money for charities. A live sonic re-sampling of the room by Edward Bobb a.k.a. Needle (Beta Bodega Coalition) will provide the score for the evening.
BAG OF TEETH will screen at 8:00 P.M., followed by the live Wrestling Exhibition by NAW wrestlers.
