When you finally reached the top of the hill your friends told you to go to, you breathed heavily for it wasn’t an easy task. You strolled a bit and frowned halfway finding that there was nothing in that place but a big old tree with a single bench under it. “This is not funny if it’s a prank…” you mumbled to yourself while continuing your walk towards the said tree. Tired from the entire walk, you didn’t hesitate to sit on the bench to rest your throbbing legs; “Hell is with them…” you pouted as you lean backwards to make yourself a little comfortable.
“Tired?” hearing a sudden playful familiar voice you jolted a bit and looked at the person with a surprised expression whom on the other hand seeing you flustered he gave out a soft giggle because he knew that he did a good job in scaring you. Knowing the little guy, you rolled your eyes and thought that he must have been watching you from a distance and is just waiting for a right time to appear like a ghost from nowhere. “Jeez Yuri, don’t scare me like that…and what are you doing here anyway?” you asked as you rested your back again. Shrugging your question, he just made his way and sat beside you “Hey I didn’t scare you or anything; I just asked if you’re tired you know…” Puffing your cheeks, you ignored him and closed your eyes, probably amused by your reaction you heard him chuckle a little. Silence filled your surrounding and for some reason, your heart was beating faster. Not a little longer a cold yet soft wind blew making you shiver in your place, it was the time of the year where the leaves of the trees start to wither and it will not be too long for snow to fall from the sky. And yes, you were such a stupid girl for not bringing anything to warm yourself up when you actually knew that it was nearing winter already, and your reason? Jackets and scarves are heavy and will just be a nuisance for your mission. What a lazy ass.
Yuri on the other hand, sensing you getting cold and not wanting you to get sick he moved closer so that he could share his scarf with you. Surprised with his action, you pulled away and pushed him rather harshly “What are you doing?!” as if trying to shrug off the thought of Yuri being too nice which actually scares you, “It’s creepy!” you added and punched him lightly on his arms making him smile gently. Seeing that smile which he usually doesn’t make, it sends electricity all over your body, and knowing Yuri since childhood you know that he’s kind, sweet and a little bit of a brat but not to you, he even said that he doesn’t see you as a girl didn’t he, so as not to let yourself fall even deeper, you kept your feet on the ground, because you and most likely all of the girls who admire and adore him, the Chinen Yuri which is beside you right now would be an impossible reach. He’s a star, an idol and a mere childhood friend like you, a normal plain simple girl with nothing to boast off would never stand a chance to have him as a lover.
With you giving rude responses to his kindness, he didn’t even fight back like he usually do which is the cue for your little cat fights. So trying to lose the awkward feeling a little, you added rashly “Are you sick or something?!” then there, after hearing your statement, his brows knitted as he sighed, “What the hell is with that…” Yuri said as he tucked his hands into his pocket and pouted. Again, silence took over.
A few minutes passed, Yuri suddenly rested his head on your shoulder and said “Don’t say anything, and don’t move. Just let me stay like this.” but you immediately removed your shoulder making him lose his balance. He frowned and groaned at the same time maybe feeling a little bit irritated and frustrated that his plan isn’t going well, he suddenly became silent. You knew he was sulking already because he was wearing the same pout he did earlier. Feeling a bit guilty of your actions after seeing him like that, you bit your lower lip and poked his cheeks hoping that he would stop sulking, but to your dismay he didn’t even budge and he ignored your approach. With him ignoring your playfulness, you knew that you had stepped on his switch. Letting a little time pass, you tried poking his cheeks again but nothing changed, “Damn…” you said to yourself as you are getting irritated as well. He’s a guy! For goodness sake, he shouldn’t act like this way but for as far as you knew; this part of him is not news. Heaving a deep breath, you tried for the third time but then again, you failed and your patience meter snapped. You abruptly stood up and said, “Fine! Your heart was beating like crazy already, you tried to release your hand from his grip for three times but his grip just went tighter every time. “Hey, do you actually remember this place?” he asked out of the blue making you look up at him with confusion present in every corner of your not so pretty face. He looked at you, still holding your hands “Probably not with that silly expression…” he said and sighed. You tried to ask something but cat got stuck on your throat and he on the other hand looked up to the sky, “You know, when we were little we used to play here.” He started, “There was this swing made out of wheel tires, and this tree. We used to play with that swing until dark and get really dirty.” A smile curved on his lips, “And when that swing was taken down you cried.” He chuckled as he looked at you and ended up laughing lightly since he can literally see question marks floating on your head. It has been years already so how the hell did he remember things such as that when you actually had forgotten everything. “Yu-“not being able to finish your sentence, three words, three clear yet deafening words rang into your ears.

You pinched your cheeks -hard, just to make sure you’re still in the real world, “Ouch!” you winced in pain making him jolt and eyed you in worry. “I’m…I’m dreaming…” you said blankly while caressing your aching cheeks. “No, you’re not!” He frowned, a little bit pissed after trying so hard to tell you how he feels this stubborn little guy will not give up “I’ll tell you this every day, every day until the time you’ll believe my words, until the time that you’ll accept them and the time that I can call you mine. And when that time comes I’ll make you cook something for me, okay?” he smiled cutely leaving you speechless again. “So be prepared, because this Chinen Yuri, this person in front of you had loved you far longer than you can think of. So like how this bench was made, I want to build a place in your life, in your heart too.” He grinned playfully before leaning closer and kissed you on your forehead, saying “At the end, I know you’ll say you love me too~”
