Today is the Américain Indepdence Day.  It makes me wonder, how many of the Twenty First Century Américains remember that they owe this holiday in part to my country?  How many of them remember that La liberté éclairant le monde was a gift from La France?

The Américains? Non. She was a gift from La France to celebrate the Américain centennial.
