Last night was pretty sweet. More karaoke! Okay, before singing, we had a major group outing to the new Brazilian steakhouse: Tucanos. It was delicious and definitely worth not having to drive to Denver for the experience (e.g. Texas de Brazil, Fogo de Chao).
After we were full of meats and Brazilian lemonade, we reconvened at the Karaoke bar I mentioned in an earlier post. This time we had like thirteen people -- our room was full, couches packed, songs loud. It was awesome. I performed "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by the Darkness and felt stoked, haha. It was good practice for things to come at Joe and Hillary's reception. That was my highlight song for my night. Though, "I Want it That Way" with Dulce was a killer duet.
We got to a point where there was a lull in the singing. We had been good about keeping a queue of songs ready to go, but toward the end we were getting less decisive, I guess. So our room got quiet enough to hear what was happening outside in the bar area. A few minutes earlier we had noticed a group of middle-aged Korean ladies tearin' up the dance floor. Then we heard "The Electric Slide" come on. Knowing the story of our entrance to this establishment last time, newcomers had to see this for themselves. We all ended up rushing out there. And joined in. Aside from the ladies giggling at our booty shaking, we had a great time and made it through the "Cha Cha Shuffle" as well. A fantastic way to end the night!
BTW, Kudos to Christina, Vince's eHarmony acquaintance, for sticking through 'til the end. Hopefully that's a sign that she had a good time! Too often, newcomers to the group tend to duck out early, before the night's over.

In other news, the semester is still not over. Meaning? I have a project/presentation due on Tues. Guess who is struggling with motivation? I also have been dropping the ball on HW in Math Modeling. Not. Good. The only good part of these last couple weeks is my Solid Mechanics course. Prof got rid of the final. That is the only class I'm doing well in this semester. Ugh. So... what happens if I don't get my degree......
