We had a service orientation during my freshman seminar for the wildlife rehabilitation center where we will be volunteering in November, and the woman speaking to us brought in some big owls and hawks (including a beautiful quasi-albino red-tail hawk), except for this one tiny owl called the Northern Sa-Whet Owl and it was quite possibly the cutest thing on the face of the earth. He was as small as my fist! (And my fist is pretty small.) jfkhguifhuidfhfhiuf cutest in the world dfuighuighifd

Also, apparently the western North Carolina mountain area is the second most threatened ecosystem in the country. Yay coal, (over)hunting, and every other form of ecodegrading bullshit out there!
