I use to think how nice it would be to be able and write stuff everyday in my journal. Now that things are actually happening I don’t have time to write it down. All week I’ve been meaning to sit down and tell about last weekend, but here I am on Sunday and just now getting a chance to write about it. Last weekend was very special to me, and I will cherish it always in my heart. Last Thursday was my Birthday. I woke up and rolled over to Scott waking him with a kiss and a gentle voice instead of “Scott! Would you PLEASE get up and take the dog outside?!?!” He got up without a word and went into the kitchen to fix him some breakfast, an hour later he comes into the bathroom to take his shower, still nothing. Finally, after about an hour and a half I was like “Don’t you have something to say to me?” Still, he didn’t remember. Finally I reminded him. All day long I was looking forward to my dinner date that night. My Mom and my Dad were going to take me out that night. There were a few good things that day. Isaac and Matt bought me an ice cream cake, and Rachel bought donuts, but I still had to work eight hours and we were somewhat busy. I get off work and my Dad and I wait until 8:00 for my Mom but she never shows, nor does she answer her cellphone, so we decide to go without her. I had fun with my Dad, it felt like a little date for just us. I still missed Momma a little bit. Finally at ten she gets off work and calls me, I just cried telling her it hadn’t even felt like my birthday. I had been miserable.
Then Friday I thought was going to be a bad day as well. It started off bad. I took the day off work but I didn’t even get to sleep late. I got up and had breakfast with my Mom since she was unable to go with us to eat the night before. Then I had to go and have my drivers license done again (Gah, it’s better than the first one though.) After that I ran in Wal-Mart and started packing for mine and Scott’s little trip. He didn’t get off work until 1:00 so we decided to take Kyra to the Boarding place to spend the night, we get there about 1:30 and they are still closed for lunch. They get a friggen two and a half hour lunch break, I think it’s stupid. Anyway, so we took her back to the house because I wasn’t going to wait till 2:30 to get on the road. Mom decided to keep her that night. We finally made it Birmingham, turned the cell phones off, and just spent time together. After we got checked into our hotel room we went to the big Galleria and shopped for like four hours. I bought two pairs of shorts, a shirt, some smell good from bath and body and a book (A Man Called Blessed). Then we went to the hotel and ate some dinner before watching TV most of the night. Mainly nickelodeon, things like The Cosby Show and Roseanne.
The next morning we got up and went to the big Birmingham Zoo. We spent a while there. Had a good time. I’ll post some pictures with this entry.
When we got home we cooked out with the family. Sunday we didn’t do anything but leave the phone off the hook and laid around. It was great.
I was all of about four feet from this 8 foot Alligator. Just a small wooden fence and a little bit of chicken wire seperated me from it. .
I enlarged this one so that you guys could see it better. I kid you not, a white Alligator. Aka, The Ghost of the Bayou.
I think this is my favorite one out of all of them. Is that Pride Rock? This one came out really good since there was glass between me and the exibit.
