I must preface this entry by saying that there may be many typing/spelling errors since I smashed my left index finger in the futon on Sat night and cannot use it to type right now. My middle finger is doing double duty, typing what my index finger cannot.
I spent most of last week in New Jersey with my mother. My flight out there was interesting. I had a layover in Vegas that was scheduled to be about 2 hours, but since my flight from LAX arrived in Vegas an hour and a half late, I didn't get to play the nickel slots like I had planned. I had only a few minutes to catch my connecting flight, and I'm glad that I made it. I sat next to a really nice guy named Gabriel from Temecula, and we talked most of the flight. That is until I passed out around 3am. My flight arrived in Newark around 4:30am pacific or 7:30am east coast time. I was so tired that I basically slept all day my first day in Jersey.
I hadn't seen my mom in about 2 years. She took me to a painting class with her, and we went horseback riding that same day. It was good times. But, it was difficult for me to be around her, because I find it hard to accept the way she refuses to take responsibility for her life. However frustrating it may have been, it was still good to see her, she is still my mother. I also got to see my Grandmother, and stay the night at my Aunt Julie's house in Pennsylvania.
I got back into LA on the 14th around 5:45 or 6pm. David picked me up, drove me to UCLA for my Calculus class, and picked me up afterwards to drive me home. I called my dad on the way home to let him know I was coming, and he told me that my grandmother (his mother) died on the 10th. He didn't want to call me to tell me when I was in Jersey with my mom cause he didn't know how I'd react. I'm assuming I missed the funeral, because most of my family was here while I was gone, and now they're back home. Also, my dad hasn't really said anything about it. I don't know what happened, or how she died, its all very wierd.
This entry got way too long, I don't know how that happened. sheesh.
