Twenty Years ago......
Twenty years ago, Our nation was attacked. People were more than shocked, people were more than lost in their emotions, and the nation actually put away their political hats for a few moments, and sought to unify as a nation to understand and defend America.
Sounds impossible, doesn't it? The hate that is spread now, each party at odds with the other... hard to remember America stood strong and unified because of 9/11/2001
My best memory comes from 9/11, because I sought out my friends. The same friends I gathered with almost every night 20 years ago. ZippyD, the closest to the actual attack. Elizorbeth, Ballman, Periwinkle, Tanniespace,Tefen,Mr_Dark, Chapell, Justj, ( to name a few) a few others about 20 or so... We gathered with the icon who we loved to visit with and share stories, laughter, and love. We shared hope, we shared like a real family who needed each other, and we gathered online in her chatroom to be together, to make sure each other was actually good.
I want to thank Izzi, and her chat room. Izzi of Izzicam... an extraordinary woman who gave us all a place to gather as family and friends. We all just went online... had our televisions on to hear and see the latest, but all gathered together to shelter in place where we felt safe. We were with each other. Thank you Elizabeth.
