Shit and Shinola
Well after all the fucking drama with my apartment, I found someone today to sublet it from me through the end of the month. Not only did I get cash up-front, but the woman who is staying there owns a cleaning business and is planning on leaving it in immaculate condition. So, that's rad. Things always seem to work out even if it's in a crazy fucked up kind of way. As of the end of the month I will be free and clear of my old apartment. It will be a huge relief.
I saw Ani last night with Emily. It was fucking amazing! of course. Ani is pregnant...which seems crazy to me. She's all little and cute with her maternity jeans. She was touring with a really great percussionist which added a lot to the live performance. The show was another glaring reminder of how fucking small this town is. I saw one too many of my exes there. Before the show started I said how next time Ani comes to town I'm going to have to go see her in Portland in order to avoid this problem. Then as we were walking out into the parking lot this girl walking behind us was saying the same exact thing to her friend. The world is extra small when you're queer.
I have the next three days off of work which is SO EXCITING as I haven't had much free time since I returned to town. I get to spend lots of time with my dear Vicious Panda face tonight and tomorrow. She suddenly has the hook up with the Seattle tourist scene...not to mention discounts at downtown bars and disposable income to spend (on me). So we're gonna be on a crazy bus riding alcohol laden Seattle tour adventure the next two days. WOO HOOO!!
Oh, Also...we're having a movie night at our house on Tuesday night. It will be outdoors (weather permitting) on a large screen. Movie TBA (any suggestions?). Show starts around 8pm. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, popcorn, or some kind of snacky treat to share. Maybe we will barbecue prior to the movie. Who knows.
