[Action] Snow Playing!

Nov 19, 2009 17:23

[Take a geek genius with a Ph.D in Engingeering and too much time on his hands, add some snow and what do you get? The Fortress of Solitude if Reid has his way. He's out in the show with a spray bottle of water, a rectangular tupperware container, an edge for painting and a tape measure. Reid even has blue prints for this mammoth project. [Ryohei's been outside running around in the snow, because he has enough energy for about twelve people. He notices Reid from some distance away and ambles over to see what he's working on.]

Wow... That looks complicated to the extreme!

[Reid looks up from his work, beaming a smile at Ryohei]

N-not really. I've got the plans all laid out and I'm p-pretty sure that as long as the temperature doesn't go up I can do a small replica.

[Ryohei smiled back and came closer.]

What're you building, anyway?

Oh, like from Superman?

[Ryohei eyes Reid's cane, and cocks his head a little before looking at the man's face again.]

Want some help?

[Oh here, have a very excited geek because Ryohei got his idea]

Y-yeah! I'd love some.

[He hobbles over to his messenger bag crammed with supplies and hands Ryohei an extra paint edger then shows him the plans]

You can start on this wall. Don't build it any higher than two feet then we'll square it and ice it before we build on top of it. More than two feet and it'll be unstable.

[Ryohei accepts the paint edger, looking at the plans seriously. Playing in the snow is serious business, after all.]

I'll do my best to the extreme!

[He moves to get started, then pauses and turns back to Reid with a grin.]

I'm Ryohei, by the way. Sasagawa Ryohei.

[Reid returns the big grin. He likes this guy. He takes his fort building seriously and he knows Superman]

N-nice to meet you Ryohei. I'm Reid.

[Ryohei grins and gets to work. He keeps glancing at Reid as he hobbles around. After a little while, he finally goes ahead and asks what he's wondering because he has no tact or sense of boundaries.]

Hey, what happened to your leg, Reid?

[Reid doesn't mind being asked that. It's just not information he offers.]

I got shot on the job. It's healing alright.

N-not right now. The cold makes it numb.

[He squares up a bit of the wall and sprays water on it]

Usually y-yes.

[Ryohei works for a couple minutes in silence, frowning thoughtfully.]

My ring has some healing abilities. Usually it just works to stop bleeding and stuff, but it makes cells regenerate faster. So maybe I could help.

[Reid stops working to look over at Ryohei. The whole idea of healing in any way other than normal is completely out of Reid's grasp.]

Wh-what? I mean...it can? H-how?

[Ryohei shrugs, then takes off one of his gloves to show Reid his sun ring. After a second, the ring is surrounded by a yellow flame.]

I don't really know how it works, but the sun flame's got activation attributes or something, and it helps the body heal faster.

[Reid looks at the ring, face all scrunched as he examines it. He's a bit distrustful just because he likes to have all the facts before doing anything]

Y-you've used it on people here?
