Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Series: Star Wars
Character Age: 21 (before Episode I)
Canon: Obi-Wan is the padawan learner of the jedi knight Qui-Gon Jinn. He is described as impatient and headstrong, but, after almost leaving the order, he has learned his place, and he wouldn't jeopardize his relationship with Qui-Gon again. He is well-mannered and expresses little emotion. This is mostly due to the Jedi training he has undergone his whole life. (This is post-Jedi apprentice, pre-Episode I)

Sample Post:

Master, I have arrived at the area. The ship shut down completely, as did the droid. I explored the area looking for intelligent life forms, and when I tried to get back to my ship a barrier blocked me. I have tried to destroy this barrier, but so far my attempts have been unsuccesful. Attacking it with a lightsaber causes it to bounce and make a sound which I can only compare to giggling. Other, more primitive methods such as rock-throwing only causes this giggling to get louder. I am not frustrated.

This morning, while I was looking for water, a tree slapped my backside. Yes, it slapped me. It took me by surprise and before I realized it I had taken out my lightsaber and cut the branch off. I would think, as you surely do, that the whole incident was caused by the wind, but then I saw the branch slowly creep away. I am aware of how ridiculous this must sound to you, but I suspect it is following me; I just turned and it was casually leaning against my pack.

I am ashamed to admit this place is making me nervous. It has a way of confusing people - I could swear I saw a formation of rocks move, a group of squirrels read and a flock of strange birds communicate via wood-pecking. In addition, I have heard a disturbing number of explosions coming from deeper in the woods. Master, I have a bad feeling about this.

***

I have found a camp; It appears that it is here where the explosions have been originating. A large number of humans seem to be trapped here. I did not reveal myself to them, thinking it wise to wait and observe in case there were guards. I didn't notice any; however on my way back I encountered a group of large primates. They appeared to be in heat and mistook me for a mate... I do not wish to go into details, but suffice it to say that I am uninjured and my lightsaber has neither been lost nor broken. I am sure you will find this amusing, master, but it was a distressing experience and I'd appreciate it if you didn't bring it up in the future.

The branch is still following me. By now I am compelled to believe it is trying to catch me unaware to slap me again.

I will make my presence known and try to keep you informed on the development of the investigation, but I do not think your answers will reach me.

May the force be with us all.
Obi-Wan
