To the almost 50% of Hillary supporters who are not supporting Obama,
As much as we wanted Hillary to win the Democratic nomination, she didn't. S, although, our pony still isn't in the race, the values, ideas and hope she had for America still are very much alive. It's silly not to put our support behind Obama. Hillary has. Bill has. For me, I supported Hillary because I wanted to see health care, education and ending the war as priorities. Supporting McCain does not make any sense as he doesn't see any of those things as priorities.
Many people wanted to see Hillary as the VP candidate. She isn't. Biden is a good, strong choice and one Obama and his team feel will make his team stronger. I don't think him not choosing Hillary was a personal slight. He wants to win and I think if he felt she would make his ticket the strongest, it would be an Obama/Clinton ticket. An Obama/Biden ticket has a lot to offer the country. And who knows, if he is elected, maybe he will make one of the Clintons high up in his administration or even a supreme court justice? He won't be able to do any of that if McCain is president. In fact, if McCain becomes president, Roe v. Wade will most likely be overturned, we will stay in Iraq long enough to see our grandchildren fight that war, and those without health insurance will remain uninsured.
We wanted Hillary because we were tired of a Republican in the White House, so let's put a Democrat there. Vote Obama!!!!
