I took a jazz class at THE EDGE today!!! This sophomore girl offered to drive me cuz she goes every weekend and it was really good for me. I totally felt like I was in Centerstage when she goes out and takes a random class and it's all intense...o man. We did a combo to Breathe by Anna Nalick which was amazing, and the teacher complimented me :D aw shux. Hopefully, I'll go back soon, although not next weekend cuz SIGNATURE ACAPPELLA IS COMPETING IN BERKELEY! AHHH!!!
Which means that all you Fremont kids should go! It will be mucho fun. There's about 6 or 7 groups competing in what they call the ICCAs (Intercollegiate Competition for acappella?), and the show is at 7:00, Saturday Feb. 9 on UC Berkeley's campus. Coooooome!!!
We rehearsed "Go" today by Kelly Clarkson. It was really cool to hear something I arranged, and I'm super stoked to compete with it. The rest of the day was devoted to me attempting to do my stupid costume design project. I have to design 7 costumes for a contemporary film version of Tartuffe. I'm setting it in a nightclub. Casting is still in progress (we have to choose movie stars to play the characters and then research all their specific costume needs...???), and then I have to make 7 tearsheets with a collage of pictures for each outfit. Aye yi yi.
BUT, all my Monday classes were miraculously cancelled! And I don't have to do lighting from 10-5 anymore tomorrow! Soooo Sunday + Monday = project stress time.
I'm ridiculously tired. I think I will crash now...
