University's been pretty good so far. It is harder to meet people not being in residence, but it's not too bad, and I like all my classes.
I saw the Backstreet Boys concert Monday. It wasn't as good as their concert was 5 years ago, but what can you expect? I still had fun.
I'm pretty stressed from all the reading and work and everything. I had a semi breakdown last night (yes, I realize it's only been a week), and I decided to drop sociology. I figure, being the anal gal I am, it's probably better to take 4 courses instead of 5, so I actually have time to work hard in all of what I'm taking. I also switched to a concentration in history, which makes me happy because I'm not too sure that I still want a degree in psych. I mean it interests me, but I don't think I want to use it. I sort of want to teach, in which case I'd switch my concentration to a major, and then get a concentration in English or French or something. Man, I should teach a course and call it "Indecisiveness 101".
If I didn't want to adjust to a new job and university at the same time, I'd look for other work. Apparently my boss not only talked about me to a girl I work with, but he LIED about me. He told her that I went up to him and told him that she'd been complaining about a guy we work with. The truth is, he went up to me and was like "What was she talking about?" Instead of asking her. And I didn't say anything about her complaining. I said "Actually, we both have a problem with him, I was complaining as well." Then he told me to talk to him about it when I had a problem with somebody. So I did, and then later he said, "I talked to Jay and Pat [other assistant managers]and they didn't seem to have a problem with [person I talked to my boss about]. I know girls like to talk, so if you want to complain about something, don't talk about specific people". Right, Ryan. Because, being a girl, I just SEARCH for issues that make my life more complicated. It's FUN that way. Asshole. Especially after he made shit up about me... It's too bad he's a sexist hypocrite... Otherwise I'd only be whining about how he's a controlling fuck. Oh, and ANOTHER thing. Any time any of the girls talk, it's a problem. We're not doing our jobs, you see. We're not physically capable of watching an EMPTY floor, washing ALREADY CLEAN CDs AND talking at the same time. I mean if we're going to label here, girls are supposed to be better at multi-tasking. But if any of the guys talk, it's fine, there's no problem.
