Summary: Not everything is as it seems, and for those who are as far from normal as you can get, life is a bleak existence.  The only ones who can truly understand what these individuals go through are those...just like them.
A/N:  YoungSaeng is played by renichifreak and KyuJong is played by me.

Even though there was no school, KyuJong woke up at the exact same time as usual, eyes fluttering open. Blinking sleepily, he lifted his face out of YoungSaeng's hair to check the time. They were wrapped around each other again, legs tangled and one of KyuJong's arms around his boyfriend's waist. If they'd been glued together while asleep before, it only seemed to become more pronounced with time.

Resting for a moment, KyuJong sighed softly and shifted down to kiss YoungSaeng's forehead. "Saengie, time to get up," he whispered, voice slightly husky with sleep. The bus that would bring them to his town only ran at certain times of the day and unless they wanted to arrive at midnight, they would have to catch this one. "We have to catch the bus soon..."

YoungSaeng groaned, which came out as more of a whine as he was woken up, yet ended up smiling as he felt KyuJong's lips against his forehead. Opening his eyes, he looked at KyuJong for a moment before reaching up and pulling the time traveler back down, brain too muddled with sleep to realize the suggestive position they were in as he kissed his boyfriend. "Five more minutes," he begged.

Breath catching as he was pulled on top of the other boy (he was awake now, and all too aware of what position they were in), KyuJong blushed and kissed YoungSaeng back. "You're going to say the same thing 5 minutes from now," he teased, knowing how YoungSaeng was in the morning. "We're going to miss our bus." He kissed YoungSaeng again, lingering.

"Mmmm...probably," he murmured against KyuJong's lips, not wanting to move. At the reminder of the bus, he also remembered that they were going to KyuJong's house for the long weekend.

"Kyu...are you sure they won't hate me the second they lay eyes on me?" YoungSaeng asked as he slowly sat up, kissing the other again.

KyuJong shifted so he was less on top of the other boy and more to the side, brushing YoungSaeng's hair out of his face as he returned the kiss. "I'm sure," he said reassuringly, smiling at him. "Don't worry...everything will be fine. Try not to think about it too much, alright?"

"But Kyu, it's so hard not to. I don't do well with first meetings, and I've never dated anyone, meaning that I've never been introduced to my boyfriend's family before," YoungSaeng explained, nerves returning slightly.

"I've never dated anyone before either," KyuJong pointed out, smiling. "There's a first time for everything, and what's going to happen will happen whether you worry or not...I promise it'll be alright, okay?" He pulled YoungSaeng lightly to sit up, kissing his cheek.

Allowing himself to be pulled up gently, YoungSaeng smiled softly before moving to kiss the older boy. "Thanks, Kyu-yah."

Kissing him back, KyuJong smiled against the other boy's lips and ran his hand lightly through YoungSaeng's hair before pulling back slightly. "We should get dressed and ready, or we might miss the bus." As much as he enjoyed the idea of just sitting here with YoungSaeng, they would have a few hours to do that on the bus, and they really couldn't miss it.

Releasing a quiet whimper, YoungSaeng leaned into the touch. It didn't take much for KyuJong to relax him. He simply had to speak to him or touch him and he calmed almost instantly.

Reluctantly pulling away, YoungSaeng pushed the blankets away and stood, revealing the pair of boxers and KyuJong's shirt. "Help me find something to wear, Kyu?" he asked.

KyuJong nodded, standing as well and following YoungSaeng over to the drawers. "Why are you so worried about what to wear?" He asked, confused. "You were looking through your clothes last night too."

Blushing, YoungSaeng chewed on his lower lip. "I want to make a good impression..." he replied shyly.

Blinking, then smiling in understanding, KyuJong tucked his hand lightly under YoungSaeng's chin and gently extracted his boyfriend's lower lip from between his teeth with his thumb. "You'll make the best impression by going as you are," he said gently. "My parents don't care about fashion or suits. Living so far from the city, we look more for practicality than styles. Wear something you're comfortable in."

Smiling at KyuJong's reassuring words, YoungSaeng nodded his head and turned toward his dresser, pulling out a pair of light denim skinny jeans and a white fitted shirt. Heading into the bathroom to change, he returned not long after, pulling his hair into a partial ponytail.

Having packed the majority the night before, YoungSaeng was done within a half hour. "How much time do we have left?" he asked.

KyuJong was done within the half hour as well, changed into loose jeans and a hoodie. Fitting the last-minute things into his bag, he looked up at YoungSaeng at the question. "Not that long...we should start heading to the bus stop, that way we're not rushing," he smiled.

Nodding, YoungSaeng threw his hoodie on and picked up his duffel bag, slinging it over his shoulder. Walking over to the door, he slid his shoes on and turned toward KyuJong. "Whenever you're ready."

Picking up his own bag, KyuJong walked to where YoungSaeng was and slipping into his own shoes. "Ready," he smiled, leaning over to kiss YoungSaeng again before slipping his hand into his boyfriend's and opening the door to leave the room. Once they were both out, he closed and locked it behind him.

Once the door was locked, YoungSaeng, still holding KyuJong's hand began to move when voices stopped him. Turning, he saw HyunJoong, HyungJoon, HaRa, and Nicole run over to them.

"Hey!" HaRa greeted happily, waving at them with her free hand.

Looking behind them, KyuJong smiled at their friends. "Hey! Are you guys all heading home?" he asked.

"We're all heading to her home," HyungJoon said, pointing at HaRa. "Country girl's giving us a tour." HaRa smiled sheepishly.

KyuJong blinked. "Where do you live?"

"Kwangju," Nicole cut in, nudging her best friend lightly before turning toward KyuJong. "Didn't you say that you were from Jeonju?" she asked.

KyuJong nodded in reply.

"So we're catching the same bus then?" HyungJoon asked happily. "Great! I don't wanna be stuck with just these guys for hours on end."

"Hate to tell you, but you're with us all weekend," Nicole said, thwacking him off the head again.

HyunJoong laughed, draping an arm around the girls' shoulders. "Ignore him. He's an idiot. I, for one, am greatly looking forward to spending time with two beautiful ladies all weekend," he flirted, smiling widely and drawing a laugh from YoungSaeng. "God, that was cheesy," he said, tightening his hold on KyuJong's hand.

"I'm not like that, am I?" KyuJong asked YoungSaeng.

"God, you should hear him," HyungJoon snorted. "Trying to get him to actually concentrate on acting is murder, he's always daydreaming and talking about YoungSaeng this and YoungSaeng that, his eyes sparkle when he's happy, isn't his laugh so beautiful, doesn't-" HyungJoon shrieked when Nicole body checked him into the wall.

"Why do they do this to me?" KyuJong whined, burying his red face in YoungSaeng's shoulder.

YoungSaeng couldn't stop the smile from appearing on his face at that. He was so unused to attention of any kind, only just getting used to KyuJong's care, so hearing HyungJoon's words couldn't have made him happier.

"Do you really, Kyu yah?" he asked, happiness clear in his voice.

KyuJong nodded against YoungSaeng's shoulder, obviously not going to look up anytime soon. "He's embarrassed," HaRa giggled. "But he really does talk about you all the time, oppa."

"I'm not used to compliments, so that actually pretty much made my day," YoungSaeng stated, voice closer to normal. It was as if the panic session from the previous night had loosened something, allowing his volume to raise without fear.

"I think you'll be getting a ton more from now on," Nicole laughed, as KyuJong smiled at YoungSaeng's raised voice.

"We should start walking before we miss the bus," HaRa pointed out.

"Which means mushy couple needs to detangle themselves before they end up on the floor," HyungJoon laughed. KyuJong blushed even more, finally lifting his face out of YoungSaeng's shoulder, bright red.

YoungSaeng, so at ease from the good rest and hearing what KyuJong truly thought of him, unexpectedly blurted out, "You know you like it."

Eyes widening, he slapped both hands over his mouth with a squeak, turning bright red before hiding behind KyuJong.

KyuJong went even redder at that, if it was even possible, and both HyunJoong and HyungJoon ended up on the floor in a fit of laughter.

"Oh my god can I just adopt you and be done with it?" Nicole squealed, clapping her hands together. "You are just too cute!!! And by all means, continue, we're not complaining!"

Still flustered and red faced, YoungSaeng poked his head out from around KyuJong and smiled slightly. It was so odd to him, having people who treated him as a friend.

Finally recovering somewhat, KyuJong raised an eyebrow at the boys rolling around on the floor before reaching back to take YoungSaeng's hand again. "Hurry, before they recover," he laughed, eyes dancing as he started down the hallway.

"Hey, no ditching us!" HyungJoon yelped, trying to get to his feet, tripping, and landing on top of HyunJoong.

Laughing, YoungSaeng let KyuJong lead him away from the group, waving at them as they left, but not missing HyungJoon's fall into HyunJoong.

"That should be an interesting relationship," he laughed.

"Who?" KyuJong looked back at YoungSaeng in amusement. "I'd be worried about their health," he laughed, as they turned the corner and KyuJong held the door open for YoungSaeng. "They'll catch up eventually, they're on the same bus as us."

Once they got to the station, YoungSaeng took a seat on the bench and leaned back, closing his eyes. It was beautiful out, so he allowed the slight breeze to run over him as they waited for the bus to arrive.

KyuJong sat down beside him, wrapping his arm lightly around YoungSaeng's waist. He watched the wind blow YoungSaeng's hair back, smiling absently before looking around at the few other people hanging around the bus stop, either waiting for it or waiting with friends.

Peeking at KyuJong through one eye as the older boy wrapped an arm around him, YoungSaeng smiled lightly and shifted closer, resting his head on KyuJong's shoulder, laughing slightly. It was such a nice feeling to be so openly affectionate, even if they were very shy by normal standards.

"There you are!" HyungJoon yelled as he and the others ran over. YoungSaeng didn't move, but simply raised his hand in a small wave.

Smiling and waving as well with his free hand, KyuJong didn't move either and just enjoyed being with YoungSaeng. He could almost see Nicole and HaRa silently spazzing behind them. Even when they were trying to be quiet, they were obvious.

It also helped that while they got a few looks from the other students nearby, no one approached them about it. Then again, their friends seemed to be hanging around them in a way to discourage such ideas. KyuJong smiled inwardly, glad for them and their help.

YoungSaeng remained as he was until a loud click drew his attention. Opening his eyes, he stared owlishly as Nicole smiled brightly from behind a camera.

"...Lemme see, you little fangirl," he said, waving for her to give him the camera.

KyuJong blinked at Nicole as well, caught off-guard by the camera. After a moment he flushed and buried his face against YoungSaeng's hair.

Nicole snapped another picture before handing the camera to YoungSaeng with a grin. "You two are so cute!" KyuJong pulled his face out of his boyfriend's hair enough so that he could see as well.

Taking the camera, YoungSaeng shifted and rested his back against KyuJong's side, taking his arm and wrapping it around his waist. It was strange to him that he was so at ease around these people, but he couldn't help it. It was as if they each calmed his soul, making it that much easier for him to open up.

Smiling as he saw the pictures, YoungSaeng returned the camera. "Can I have copies of those?" he asked.

"Sure!" Nicole grinned. "Under one condition." She held her camera up to take another picture. "Pose for me?" she pouted playfully.

It was clear to KyuJong that she had wanted to ask them to kiss, but was refraining because they were in public.

YoungSaeng bit his lip, nervousness returning. It was one thing to have his picture taken candidly, but pose? His confidence still wasn't able to allow him to do something like that.

Sensing his boyfriend's nervousness in how his body tensed slightly, KyuJong looked up at YoungSaeng and smiled a little sadly at the knowledge that they'd hit another wall. "Maybe another time?" he asked Nicole, brushing his lips lightly against YoungSaeng's cheek.

She deflated for a moment, and then smiled. "Alright, you owe me a picture then oppa!" She snapped a picture of HyungJoon staring into space, squeaking and running to hide behind HyunJoong when the boy yelped and tried to snatch her camera away.

YoungSaeng smiled apologetically at the girl before she moved on to HyunJoong and HyungJoon-that was just cruel, them having such similar names.

He then turned toward KyuJong. "I'm sorry, Kyu...I've never been very good with pictures unless I'm not aware."

"It's nothing to apologize for," KyuJong reassured gently, smiling as he ran his hand lightly along his boyfriend's arm. "Don't worry about it. And I'm sure she'll be taking enough pictures without our permission anyways."

As if to prove this, there was another snap, and KyuJong looked at Nicole in amusement. "How is a shot of our backs any better?" She grinned sheepishly.

Nicole suddenly released a shriek as HyunJoong leaned over and blew in her ear, all the while reaching over her shoulder and snatching the camera from her hands. "That's enough, you little sneak," he teased, slipping the camera into his back pocket.

"You can have it back when we get on the-HOLY SHIT!"

With a smirk, HyungJoon handed the girl back her camera.

KyuJong burst out into laughter at the expression on HyunJoong's face. "What's wrong?" he teased. "Did he grab more than just the camera?" He yelped and hid YoungSaeng against his chest as he was suddenly targeted by a flustered HyunJoong.

YoungSaeng had to laugh at just how red HyunJoong's face was. Recognizing it as the same color he often turned when with KyuJong, he smirked and lightly nudged his boyfriend, pointing it out.

Looking up when he was no longer in danger of being hit, KyuJong smiled at the very obvious red. "Do you think...?" he murmured to YoungSaeng when HyunJoong targeted HyungJoon instead.

"Oh, I more than think," YoungSaeng replied as he watched HyunJoong chase after the younger.

Hearing an announcement of the bus' arrival, YoungSaeng got to his feet and picked up his bag.

KyuJong stood as well, slinging his bag over his shoulder and taking YoungSaeng's hand lightly out of habit. The others returned and gathered with them as the bus pulled up in front, the group of students taking it slowly filing on.

Once on the bus, the group all took seats in the back. Luckily they were the first on, so YoungSaeng slid into the window seat, happy when KyuJong sat beside him and HyunJoong in front, blocking him off from the people he didn't know.

He was glad that the others were so perceptive of the fact that he had begun shying back as more and more strangers filled the bus.

KyuJong continued to hold on to YoungSaeng's hand as the bus filled up, running his thumb lightly over the back of his boyfriend's hand. HaRa and Nicole chattered in the seat across from them, HaRa practically bouncing with eagerness. KyuJong was all smiles as well, looking forward to the long weekend away from school immensely. While he'd quickly decided he liked this school and it's occupants, like most students he was still glad to have a break and not have to worry about homework or schedules. Or disappearing in the middle of any of the above.

YoungSaeng smiled when KyuJong never released his hand. He could see that everyone was excited about the break, but he didn't really know how he felt. He was relieved that he would be away from his father and not alone in the school or his apartment, but he didn't know how to act around people anymore.

"So if you both live so close together, maybe we can get together at some point?" Nicole asked, leaning over so she could see both HaRa and KyuJong.

"Don't see why not?" KyuJong chuckled, looking over at YoungSaeng. "We have four days."

"Four days of no school!" HyungJoon let out a whoop.

YoungSaeng laughed lightly and nodded. "Sounds like an idea to me," he agreed. HyungJoon was not the only one happy about no school for four days.

Even better was no sessions. It had taken a lot of begging and promising to take the pills daily, but they had allowed him to go, which made him ecstatic.

KyuJong grinned and as the bus started to move, the last of the students on and facing the front, he finally let go of YoungSaeng's hand in favor of drawing his boyfriend closer with an arm around his waist. No one else was paying attention to the group in the back, the bus filled with chatter. It was going to be a long ride.

YoungSaeng smiled and shifted closer, loving the closeness.

"Does the bus at least drop you off near your house, Kyu?" HaRa asked. "We're getting a lift when we get there."

"It's a few minutes down the road," KyuJong replied, smiling.

"So YoungSaeng," HyungJoon began. "I guess you'll be meeting KyuJong's family, right?"

YoungSaeng turned to him and nodded slowly. "I'm staying there for the weekend," he explained quietly.

"Neat!" HyungJoon exclaimed. "Hope that goes well." He made a face. "My sister brought home a boyfriend once and my parents chewed the poor guy out."

YoungSaeng froze at that. A moment later, he turned toward KyuJong, eyes wide and panicked, just like the previous day. "I'm not gonna get chewed out, am I, Kyu-yah? I don't handle that too well, and you know it."

He turned back around, pout clear as he crossed his arms. "They're gonna hate me so much..."

Eyes widening, KyuJong shook his head. "No, that isn't going to happen," he protested, wrapping both arms around YoungSaeng's waist. "They're going to love you, my parents aren't like his."

HyungJoon blinked, and shrank back when KyuJong glared at him. "What did I-" He shrieked as HaRa hit him over the head. "You're an idiot," she told him.

"What did I say?" He protested, rubbing his sore head. "And why are you complaining, you're getting more fan service to squeal over." KyuJong was completely preoccupied with trying to calm YoungSaeng down. Again.

"You seriously haven't noticed how skittish he is?" HyunJoong pointed out quietly. "As if meeting your significant other's parents isn't nerve-wracking enough, you add his shyness plus the fact that KyuJong's bringing home a boyfriend...” He turned to the girls. "Am I right?"

HaRa nodded, smacking him again while Nicole was too busy squealing quietly to herself.

"Saengie?" KyuJong murmured, becoming more worried when YoungSaeng didn't turn around again. "It'll be alright, I promised it would be, right?" He rested his head lightly against his boyfriend's, holding him loosely.

YoungSaeng looked back at KyuJong before resting his head on the older boy's shoulder. "I know, KyuJong, but I can't help it..."

KyuJong shifted slightly so the position was more comfortable for them, lifting one hand from YoungSaeng's waist to run through the boy's soft hair, his other hand resting lightly against his boyfriend's stomach. "I would never put you in a situation that would hurt you," he murmured quietly.

YoungSaeng smiled, sighing at the feel of the hands both in his hair and against his stomach. "I know..."

Smiling faintly, KyuJong brushed his lips lightly against YoungSaeng's cheek before resting his head against the other boy's again, watching the city slowly ease into highways outside the window and YoungSaeng's reflection against the glass.

The four others watched the two, smiles playing on their faces. Waving to Nicole, HyunJoong grabbed her camera and took a couple of pictures with the intention of making copies for the two.

The ride was uneventful, the other four talking and occasionally pulling the couple into the conversations. KyuJong for his part was more than happy to watch the city disappear and fields pass by as they went further and further from Seoul. YoungSaeng had fallen asleep at some point, giving KyuJong a chance to watch him as well, ignoring the knowing looks that passed between his friends.

It was a few hours later when they finally approached Jeonju, the bus gradually emptying of students. Rousing himself from the half-asleep state he'd been in, KyuJong ran his hand lightly over YoungSaeng's arm, kissing him lightly. "Saengie, we're the next stop," he murmured.

YoungSaeng was pulled from his slumber by his boyfriend's calming voice and the light kiss. Returning it, he opened his eyes and smiled softly. "Hey," he murmured tiredly.

KyuJong smiled at him, brushing the boy's bangs out of his eyes before sitting up straight. There was one other person at the front of the bus getting ready to get off, but other than her they were the only ones for the next stop.

HaRa smiled at them. "We'll give you a call later, alright?" Nicole was beaming at them happily; KyuJong had the suspicion she and HyunJoong had taken plenty of pictures.

Once the bus stopped, YoungSaeng stood and got off, KyuJong behind him. Looking around, he took in the serene environment, preferring it to Seoul's high traffic of people.

"I like this. So where are we going?" he asked.

Watching the bus leave, KyuJong unconsciously relaxed a little. Seoul was nice, but he'd missed home. It also didn't help that being unable to leave the house for so many years meant that he had been more than a little uncomfortable when finally outside again.

"This way," he smiled, talking YoungSaeng's hand and starting down the street. "My house is a few minutes away." There were a few people around, but not many.

Shifting his hand to lace their fingers together, YoungSaeng allowed KyuJong to lead him. "It's really nice around here, Kyu-Yah," he said. "Peaceful."

Nodding, KyuJong ran his thumb lightly over YoungSaeng's. "It's...different from Seoul. The city's nice, but it gets a little claustrophobic at times." He was glad YoungSaeng liked his hometown.

"I like the peace. There're too many people in the city...too much tragedy and death," YoungSaeng replied.

KyuJong sobered slightly. "I guess it's a little harder to see the good points of the city when the bad ones are so much clearer." He squeezed YoungSaeng's hand lightly and made a mental note that if they ever explored around the town, to keep YoungSaeng away from the small graveyard at the other end. Thankfully his house was far from it.

"I suppose that it's just nice to be away from everything, especially in a place that's so open," YoungSaeng replied.

Coming to a stop for a moment, YoungSaeng smiled and leaned up, kissing the other before leaning back, smiling. "Thanks for bringing me with you." He paused before adding, "Even though your parents are going to hate me."

"They aren't going to hate you,” KyuJong insisted. Kissing YoungSaeng back, he smiled. "Thank you for coming along. I didn't...want to go anywhere without you," he murmured, cheeks burning.

At the confession, YoungSaeng blushed as well. "It would have been so strange to be apart for so long..." he murmured, kissing him again.

Returning the kiss, KyuJong brushed YoungSaeng's cheek tenderly before pulling back. "We're just about there," he chuckled, pointing to the last house on the street they'd turned onto before the road turned into fields.

Looking where KyuJong was pointing, YoungSaeng smiled. "Nice house, Kyu," he said, walking down the street again. Being so close, however, did nothing for the nerves that were building again.

KyuJong squeezed YoungSaeng's hand reassuringly as they walked towards the house. "Thanks."

They'd reached the end of the street and had started for the door when it suddenly flew open.
