Beginning of the School Year.

First day of classes was today and I'm starting to feel very good about the school year. At least half of the student body is completely new and so I got to meet a whole bunch of fresh happy faces just beaming with excitement over the new school and the new building. This year the orchestra ACTUALLY has a violin section so we were able to play the New World Symphony in house with one day of rehearsals last Friday. In a few weeks we'll be playing the Jupiter symphony with Bernardi which should be super fun! I had lunch with Aaron today and due to the proximity to U of T campus I ran into at least 8 people I know (3 of whom I hadn't seen in a LONG time). It's so nice to be in an area that's full of people my own age as opposed to crazy hobos and creepy Portuguese men.

Now that it's REALLY the end of the summer I've had a look at my workout goals..
1. Must be at least 20 lbs lighter - Well okay that REALLY didn't happen. Being that I was working at a desk for 8 hours a day kind of meant it was a lost cause although I will say that I actually look thinner just because I've been working out so regularly. As of last Saturday my net weight loss is 3 lbs.
2. Must be able to loosely fit into a size 14 on the bottom - Achieved! Take THAT Space Coyote!
3. Must be able to jog for 20 minutes straight without having to take a walk break - Actually I haven't really tried that... when I started out two laps on the AC lap made me completely winded but now I can do 8 laps with a walk break no problem. So... about 15 minutes with one walk break.

Yay goals! I've been really diligent.. I think I've broken my  guidelines once but no more than that except for the fact that I've never gone to the gym less than twice a week. The no beer was REALLY hard last week because mixed drinks just make me look like a wuss. I still need to make the Lentil Soup but once the school gets a microwave that will be happening ASAP. I suppose now that I'm done this I should make new goals for the rest of the year (ie December):
1. Must be at least 17 lbs lighter
2. Must be able to close a button of a size 12 on the bottom
3. Must be able to fit well in my AWESOME black vintage dress
4. Must be able to jog for 20 minutes straight without having to take a walk break

I really need to return the 3rd season of the Office to Queen Video but I just CAN'T stop watching it. Sigh.
