PoMoFo
The beauty of modernism is the conception of geometric form. The rejection of all established styles creates a true vision of harmony and unity through simplicity. It is a true testament of the human spirit with out the limitations of physicality. Then comes along post-Modernism and fucks everything up. That corny-ass design from the 80s and 90s makes me want to giggle puke. I am especially tired of hearing that every piece of work I do is unoriginal or everything is just borrowed from something else. It’s a pretty redundant criticism; seeing how our ideas are a result of the environment we live in, which everything was created in the past. Post-modernism has resulted in ass-backwards logic, so that NOTHING is progressive. Well, the hell if I am going to pretend there is no future, just because some dolts are blind of their own historical significance. It is a loss of personal ideology. Now most contemporary artists have to talk about society or history. Post-Modernism is supposed to address the shortcomings of Modernism, and it still has yet to prove a fallacy in Modernism. Now that everything today is po-mo, I’m going to take a post-Modern dump.
