Look at the stars, look how they shine for you
I am a simple girl. I like simple things that stay the same. I like simple people and simple gifts. Well tonight I was given one of the most amazing gifts I have ever recieved. And it didn't cost me a thing. The good Lord gave me the opportunity to watch a lightening storm. Doesn't sound like much but it had all the elements of a perfect night:
-Great temperature-check
-Gentle northwesterly breeze-check
-Sky full of stars that can be perfectly seen because there aren't any lights to hinder their beauty-check
-a great little perch on top of the garage to gaze upon God's magnificent beauty-double check
-a light show in the clouds that could have been set up just for me (even if it wasn't I don't care)-check
-a heart that no longer has a Christ shaped hole (the lack of the hole allowes me to better appreciate exactly what it is I witnessed)-check.
Everything was there. I saw the depth of the clouds in the dark of night against a beautiful starry backdrop. For just a few minutes my world was perfect. No fighting family, no crazy work, no worrying about things I can't control. None of it. My world was at peace. I think the Lord gave me a glimpse of what Heaven will be like. This is one of those nights...I had one of those perfect times I pray to remember forever. Thanks Daddy.
