T: Love Bye Love (Changmin perspective)
P: Yoomin (because goddammit the world needs more)
R: PG-13
A/N: I honestly didn't think that I'd finish this. Clearly, I'm retarded.

Completely immersed. Changmin let out a silent laugh as he leaned against the door frame, watching his friend at the piano. The song was sad. Yoochun never voiced lyrics aloud until they were perfect, but the melody piqued his interest.

Swiftly, he moved across the room, obviously undetected until he settled down on the piano bench. "What are you writing," he asked, eyes locked on Yoochun's hands as they slid against the wrong keys.

"Nothing," came the reply, but Changmin wasn't buying the bullshit and already had the notebook in his hands. He could feel his friend staring at him; he wanted to take his time, but he didn't.

"Don't lie to me," he started. I hate it when you lie, he wanted to add as he closed the notebook and sat it down. "It's nice. Who's it about?"

The lyrics. It was easy for Changmin to hide his emotions, unlike the man sitting next to him. It was easy for him to not acknowledge that he had just read the musical accompaniment to his friend's heart breaking. It was easy and he hated it.

No reply. "Is it about your brother?" The question was genuine, or at least Changmin would claim it to be.

"What? No." Yoochun's voice had a certain tone to it. Changmin's eyes darted to the empty wine bottle as he flinched. He knew already. The laugh escaped easily, "Is it about me?" He waited for the verbal reply, but only saw the head shake. "Then... Yunho." It was a difficult task sounding so sure of himself.

Yoochun had hid his face in his hands. Changmin felt a small smile creep upon his face. Yoochun always had a way of looking so handsome when he was embarrassed. "Quit sniffing glue. It's bad for your health. And it makes you talk crazy."

Who was left? He couldn't say it yet. "Junsu?"

"I think you didn't bother to register the fact that it was about a woman."

"Oh!" A woman. Of course. Changmin took a deep breath. It took a minute for him to garner the courage to say, "Jaejoo--" SON OF A BITCH. That fucking notebook. The dull throbbing took a minute to subside. He'd have to remember the book technique for a more appropriate time.

Stunned into silence, another minute passed and Changmin heard Yoochun's laughter. It sounded fake. Changmin strained to remember the last time it didn't.

It didn't take a lot for Changmin to become so distracted that he lost all concept of time, but once he realized that he should do something, he did. Instinctively, Changmin put his hand on Yoochun's shoulder and squeezed, "Don't look so sad, hyung." He would always be there for him, he thought as he cautiously wrapped his arms around the other man. The kisses along the other man's neck were littered with Changmin mouthing the words 'I love you' silently onto Yoochun's skin.

"I didn't mean to do that. I know that you lo-." He stopped suddenly, fully aware that Yoochun wasn't hearing the words. It was pointless to confess to someone who was too caught up in someone, something he couldn't have. What felt like the last kiss was rough, desperate. "I'm sorry." Changmin moved away just slightly, his breathing erratic.

"It's about you." The voice came out of nowhere. Liar. Liar. He was lying. Changmin couldn't believe the words. Silently, he sat there, eyes shut tightly, but as he felt Yoochun stand up, he did the only thing he could and wrapped his hand around the other man's wrist. He opened his mouth to speak, but waited until his eyes locked with Yoochun's.

"I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here." And as the other man sat down again next to him, Changmin let out a laugh that was a mix between relieved and happy before half-embracing Yoochun.

A few moments passed and Changmin felt Yoochun's breathing change. He would start crying soon. He could only tighten the half-embrace and hope for the best.

"I hate you." The words hit Changmin hard. He didn't mean it, did he? He couldn't. It was rare Changmin let his insecurities show, but he could feel that they would soon.

"I love you too, hyung," Changmin whispered before running a thumb across Yoochun's cheeks, wiping away the tears staining them.

He'd always be there for him, Changmin silently promised.
