I forgot to update here, so you get two entries put together
From morning -
From my email inbox:
James, I was informed today that you might want to reconsider taking Painting I.
Lisa Carroll is the admin assistant for that department and she suggested this.

No.
No.
Ive been trying to get in this class for like 4 semesters, I finally get in, and you are going to try to talk me out of it? They even took me out of the class already! I have to convince them to let me back in the class. Im only taking 11 hours next semester as it states now, since it shows I am not in painting.
Grr...
Now the current entry
Ok so, this has been a pretty eventful day. I go to the art department office 4 times today to try to find Lisa Carroll to talk about this Painting ordeal. She wasnt there any of those times.
So I get back here and Im talking to my mom, and she tells me My Great Grand-Uncle Peb (Perry) died this morning. She went over to my grandmas house to tell her in person. Uncle Peb was a really awesome guy and he went pretty peacefully, so I am happy about that at least. He was 89. I was able to go visit him one last time over the summer, and Im glad that happened.
So my parents are a little sad when Im talking to my mom. I tell her whats been going on and this painting business. Shes telling my dad what happened and he was on the phone calling OC before she finished the sentence. Hes pretty angry about this. Anyone who knows my dad very well at all knows he is one of the calmest, most level headed people you could ever meet. However, there are certain instances where you can just set him off instantly. I wanted to try to handle the situation by myself, but he was leaving messages with people in the registrars office that he's paying for me to get a liberal studies degree that includes studying art. They were saying that I might have been bumped because a senior needed to take the class to graduate.
1- I am the senior who needs the art credit to graduate
2- I was the second person to sign up for a class with 10 people, unless they needed to fit 9 graduating seniors in that painting class, then that doesnt work
So they said they would leave the message. I get an email tonight saying that while the first email said I should talk to Lisa Carroll, she wants me to talk to O'Keefe, who I have never actually talked to, even with me being an art study all this time. She also tells me the other painting class is open, and I am more than welcome to take it. Which means she basically is saying she doesnt give a crap about the email she was responding to that stated I planned out all my classes so that I could take Painting I and that this was the only way my schedule would work. Taking the other class means I have to switch Philosophy classes and I think I also have to drop Christian Finance and find a different Bible class.
Thanks OC, I thought I almost made it a whole semester without you screwing things up (outside of erasing my laptop misdiagnosing a problem)
Ugh
Ok anyway, on the more positive side, I went to the Watonga - Bethany game tonight, which was fun. Anyone who knows me very well knows I could care less about football, but I see football games as more of a social event. I got to hang out with a lot of friends that I dont usually spend a great deal of time with, and got to know a few people better. It was a really great time. And I cheered Watonga on, as Thor, God of Thunder for the first half, and Horus for the second half (though I didnt make as many mythology based battle cries the second half as the first)
"By the raven of Odin, a spectacular play!"
"Ye sons of Loki will not beat us with such trickery!"
"Strike them with the fury of the lightning of Mjolnir!"
"By Ymir's frozen breath!"
"By the Eye of Ra!"
