Presents!
Two of them turned up in the post, on Monday. They're not actually for me, though, they're ones for someone else. They are two pieces of artwork that I had commissioned and they are absolutely beautiful, you can see some of the artist's work here: www.nati-art.com. I came across her website around this time last year, I knew then that I wanted to commission her for these two pieces, but at the time there wasn't long enough for the occassion that was approaching. I've been hassling Nati a lot, over getting these two pieces done in time this year, so I feel that I should publicly apologise to Nati.
Nati, if you are reading this, I know I've apologised in my e-mails but I still feel bad for questioning you. I'm sorry, especially if it was instrumental in you no longer accepting private commissions, I just hope that you achieve the success you deserve.
In the meantime, I've managed to get to see Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. An amazing piece of TV production, there are times you truly feel like you are watching a film, it bodes well if that is the direction that the producers decide to take Farscape. I've got DVD's of it in my hands too, which I've got to make copies of for some of my friends, this weekend. If anyone sees this and decides to get on their high-horse about piracy, I've already paid out money on a pre-order of the US DVD and I will most likely buy the UK DVD too, to show my support to the UK company which produced the Region 2 series DVD's.
The other thing left for me to do, at the moment, is phone some stores in the USA near to where I'm staying for the Farscape Convention, in Burbank. I need to try and reserve a Nintendo DS for myself, I doubt I'll have much luck trying to do that a week before it comes out, which is when I arrive there.
