I've had sleeping problems since about 8th, 9th grade, but lately it has just been out of control. And at least, back in high school, I just had issues *falling* asleep not actually *staying* asleep. Unlike now, I seem incapable of sleeping between the hours of 2 am - 7 am. *heavy, mournful sigh* It's incredibly unnerving and upsetting. It's fucking with... everything. I could cry. I know it's stress induced... Maybe when I finally get some money, I'll relax a bit. Not saying money will solve all my problems, just that it'll make things easier and I'll be able to actually GO OUT and have fun, rather than hang about the flat/campus.
Who knows, who knows. . .
I just finished a fabulous novel - 'American Gods' by Neil Gaiman. Every time I read one of his novels/short stories/etc I'm left bathing in his literary genius. I wish I could base a critical scholarship on his works - and he has quite a variety of mediums. Not to mention he's INCREDIBLY sexxxy. A few years time, and his novels will be taught in literature courses, if i get my say! Although, I guess he already is - I read one of his short stories for Science Fiction class and Tristin's teaching 'Good Omens' in his Philosophy of Religion course... Anyways, I follow Neil on Twitter; I love it (and him) to pieces.
In fact, Twitter constitutes a new paragraph. If you don't have it, get it. I prefer micro-blogging now. It's easier and I can Tweet from my mobile! And I love following friends & certain celebrities (Neil, Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, John Mayer, etc). It's the newest fad in social networking and I just have to be up on social networking... Dunno why. I am a geek like that. [When you do get one, follow me @ ubernell.
http://www.twitter.com/ubernell]Speaking of geekery, 'Watchman' arrives in theatres on March 6th - same as the US! w00t. Hmm.. Likelihood of me going that weekend is slim, since I would want someone to go with... But we shall see.
Ooooooh so many things I want to do and buy when I get my monies!
Although I do need to become buddies with the library in the next few weeks too. Urrgh. I hate essay season.
Okay, off to watch the new episode of Family Guy.. Then maybe some Buffy. It's almost 7am and I don't have tutorial until 10am. And I will try ever so desperately to cling to consciousness to make it until my 4pm lecture. I will try. **siiiighh*....
