A Surprising Day

Sep 07, 2007 23:22

Today I walked the nearly two miles (it's not uphill so the walk was quite wonderful and enjoyable) to the GTU. Three of the schools that are affiliated with the GTU are not in a cluster about one block from the UC Berkeley campus. My school is one of those schools.

All of the schools have combined their libraries into one single GTU library. Can you say "most comprehensive in the world?"

I know that I can about my library!

Oh so many books!

At first I went because one book that I needed to read for class on Monday has not arrived in the mail yet. But it was available in the library. So I "jetted" over there, found my book, found a comfy chair, and settled in for the day.

I thought that that was how I was going to spend my day. But Brian found me so we went out to lunch and while we were about to order a small group of people came in and said that they were in the thai restaurant next door so we went and had a family-style Thai lunch. And it was wonderful.

Seeing this made me laugh as I was taking a reading break after I got back to my apartment. Especially since I stayed in the library until closing.

By the way, that would be one of the Stockton mugs with the Chicken Feet that I found at Goodwill over the summer.
